| Horse has shoes put on for the first time. Three days after she races around outdoor and the next day on the right front there is a substantial amount of tendon sheath swelling with heat. No pain response is not lame at walk or trot. I ice then poltice put her back in the stall. Still some swelling after 3 days so call vet out. Vet flexes she is 100 % sound and swelling is down 50%. Vet palpates tendons and says they feel great. Fast forward a week of hand walking and swelling is down 100%. I put her in the flat round pen she gives 1 buck a moment of cantering doesn't get super wild. Hand walk her another 10 min then back to her stall. Come back out 3 hours later swelling has returned 65%. Already had an appointment for radiograph wed. Sigh here we go. |
