I had a horse wreck about 2 years ago and my riding has gone from bad to worse. I went to a clinic (was a Josey clinic because I work right down the road from them) Thanksgiving. You would not believe the difference it has made. Sunday I knocked two seconds off my pole run. The last time I ran was a 26 and Sunday I ran a 24. The time is not that great, but it is for me. I know where I lost time and next time I am going to knock off another 2 seconds. My barrel run was way better too. Really had a great day. It helps to have a really nice horse that is cooperative. I rode the paint in my avatar.
OK, the main idea here is that if you need help go to a clinic. Go to have fun and learn as much as you can. It is well worth the money.

Good job! A few years ago, being off horses for 2 years due to high risk pregnancies and c-sections really affected my confidence - fitness level was nill. My first ride back I would only walk my (new and untested) mare in a circle in the round pen with hubby an arms length away. lol My husband got emotional the first time I finally RAN her across an arena again.

When I used to run years ago and had been off for a while I would go to a Josey Clinic at the ranch. Best investments ever made. They sure do know how to build your confidence level up. Marthas had a couple of really bad wrecks and she was able to gain her confidence after all she went thru. I think thats why I like going to her vs others if thats what you need help with.
