| I have this mare. http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/first+copauino+jess She is super nice to ride and get along with. She is however the dominant and agressive mare in the pasture. But super nice with people. |

| I have a daughter of Fly Jess Fly, son of MJP, and she is out of a daughter of Streakin Six. She can be a handful at times, but for the most part has gotten to be fairly laid back when riding as she's gotten older. Depsite being all running bred, she is extremely ratey and push style. Mine is like Whiteboy's, she is a dominant mare and can be aggressive in the pasture. So I just keep her by herself now. She's only been hauled about a year, and that was very limited. I'm excited to see what she does this year. Very easy to train, picks up on this quickly. I'd have a dozen more like her if I could, minus the pasture issues. Lol. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I raised a Take Off Jess colt. He was so easy to work with and very smart. We sold him before we ever started him under saddle, but for a horse that spent most of his life in pasture, he loved attention and remembered everything we ever taught him. |

| I have a grandson of MJP and he is super to ride and nothing bothers him. But he is a downright A** in the pasture. But he is super in your pocket and is so much fun to ride, he gives you everything he has every time you ask him as well. Mine is out of a MJP mare and out of Bigtime Favorite . I did put him in with my no nonsense broodmare and she did go back at him once and that really surprised him and he sort of backed off I think that if he was with heard of broodmares that were all no nonsense his attitude would change. BUT i dont have that lol

| I have a MJP and DTF gelding. Super willing to learn and in your pocket type. Wants to please you and get treats for it. Picked him up 4 months ago literally from race track. Has been around the barrels MAYBE 15x total now. Won second in 2D futurity January 10. |

| this is my boy http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/fly+lv+fly he has been a DREAM. I rode him after having a year off after the track and he just rode off. Not a mean bone in his body. He is smart, calm, willing. Major trainability. He has picked things up very quickly. I currently have a dressage trainer riding him. My ONLY gripe about him is that he has tall withers. I have heard Corona Cartel horses are like that and it doesn't help that his dam is 1/2 TB too.

Location: You never know where I will show up...... | I had a daughter of MJP in my broodmare herd for a few years. Her oldest foal by Firewater Finale is extremely quiet and has a fantastic mind. Her other foals by our stallions are not yet riding age. They were all easy to get along with when weaning and halter breaking, and seemed very smart. I am riding a 4 year old by Tres Seis out of a First Down Dash x Mr Jess Perry mare and she's also very laid back. I've ridden several Tres Seis horses and she's the quietest, most sane Tres Seis I've had so far. I wouldn't hesitate to own another MJP get or grand-get. |

Location: Texas | I had a granddaughter and I loved her. Unfortunately she came up with ringbone in a hind leg. From the looks of the rads, it looked like she had an old injury as a foal and the ringbone was a result of that trauma. Really heart breaking because she was on track for the futurities. Sweet sweet mare, good disposition, middle of the pack in the pasture (but apparently my middle of the pack mares turn into the dominant ones at their new homes LOL). She hauled great, was mature, didn't spook at much at all. Would have made a great horse. |

Location: Missouri | I have a granddaughter, but she's only a weanling...well, yearling I guess! Even though she's so young, she has a wonderful personality. This mare has only had one other foal, by a foundation bred stud, and I felt lucky to get a hand on her! We lost her at only 8 weeks, but the difference in these babies is night and day. This baby was born gentle, kind, and friendly. She's so easy to get along with. She does have a little bit of attitude, it's not like she's a pet puppy, but she's just a cool little horse! I have high hopes for her!!! My friend owned the stud and had several of his offspring. She said they were all "born broke" and just great to be around. She futuritied at least one, maybe more, I'm not sure. She really liked them and sold me on them!!! Here's my girl (picture from last fall...you can't see underneath all her wooliness right now! lol!): http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/jess+treasured

Location: SW New Mexico | I am lucky enough to own a OTT son of Pretty Boy Perry by MJP..out of Elected , by Raise your glass, bottom side he is out of a mare called Leavin with Cash, by Runaway Winner out of By Yawl...!
He is a bit slow to mature,in the brain, almost 16hh, 1.300#... but is going to be a awesome barrel horse..my best yet..
as long as I stay patient with him, and let him mature at his own pace..
He is 8 this year, scary fast and yet , so sweet minded.. and so gentle, and great out on the trails ,too.
I am very careful with his mind, and after 2 years of just getting him seasoned and well broke, he won $$ running the 4th 1D-fastest time out of 88 runners in a race in Tucson!
He is the horse in my avatar..
I Love my Brother Dave!

I must have hit the jackpot on the FTS. My daughter is no trouble at all. The only thing I can say about her is that if she foals in the pasture, you'd better get your running shoes on to catch her. For that first month, if the wind blows the wrong way, she's outta here. |

Location: Utah | I really think your answer to this is going to depend on who you talk to and what son their horse is by. I am currently riding a daughter by Feature Mr Jess & have had a Streakin La Jolla (MJP's sire). I've found both of mine were very smart and easy to train. I had to back off of my FMJ mare several different times because she was coming to fast. Both are very athletic, and I didn't feel that either was a "hot" horse. However, she (my FMJ) is quirky. Both have been very "marey", and cycle really hard. My FMJ likes to kick fences & in the trailer. It drives me batty. The issues that I have had with her on the barrels are because of a fall that she had right before I started to run her. She ran hurt (not for a lack of trying to find it) for a long time before she told me "no". My SLJ mare was the same way. Both mares worked when they were sore & vets couldn't find the issue which to me means they have a lot of heart, try and grit.... Since I have found and fixed her injury things have been better, but I'm having to gain her trust and confidence again. She can get real strong when she runs and does't have a lot natural rate, my SLJ mare was just the opposite, lol, she was AAA and had so much rate it hurt! Neither wants to be handled much in the pattern and less is really more with them. They IMO are not the type of horses who you can drill, and drill and drill, they get board easy. I have a few friends with horses by Jesse James Jr, and they both really like them. I am not worried that much about MJP horses, I will ride them but I seem to like different from the "main stream" anyways. In fact I'm breeding my Judge Cash mare to a son of Jesse James Jr who is out of a Dash Ta Fame mare (his name is Rex Hill). |

My daughter of Streain La Jolla (MJP's sire) had HORRIBLE feet. My Feature Mr Jess mare, has really good feet under her, luckily! |
