One of my good friend's young nephew was recently diagnosed with an inopperable brain tumor. My friend and her family all live here in Kansas, but her sister's family is in Florida without any family support there. Her parents have been traveling back and forth from Kansas to Florida to help as much as they can, but it is undoubtedly very costly. Please consider donating even a small amount if you can, so that we can support this family in their time of need. This is something no one plans for, emotionally or financially. Thank you so much for any prayers you can say for Gavin's health and the family's strength!!
Here is sweet Gavin's story:
Gavin is an energetic, sweet, silly, kind hearted 8 year old with the best smile and a kind heart! Until just a few weeks ago, Gavin could most often be found playing outside as he hasn't met a sport he doesn't like! That said, he is quite good at basketball and loves to shoot hoops with his brother and dad.
After experiencing some bothersome symptoms that's seemed to come "out of nowhere", his parents took him to the hospital on the day before Thanksgiving since they were going on a family vacation for the holiday. Unfortunately, that trip to the hospital proved that Gavin's symptoms were not something easily cured. After further testing, he has been diagnosed with a Stage 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme, an inoperable brain tumor. Please understand that the term 'inoperable' is the one used by the doctors. and while we respect the medical team and the care they are providing for our Gavin, this is not a report that we accept in the realm of our faith.
We are strong believers! We believe in the healing power of Jesus Christ.
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. - John 10:10 NLT
We stand in faith for a complete healing and call to the name above all names to take authority in this need and to bring forth a healing in the name of Jesus! We declare it, we believe it and we give all glory to God in the miracle to come.
Gavin starts radiation therapy December 15th. He will receive treatments 5 days a week for the next 6 weeks
