I keep my change in my pockets

Location: MN | We looked at them the other day and wondering how other people like them?
Why you like or hate them?
We ruled out the the "C" series. Price wise we liked the P5? I think, not the memory foam top.

| My husband and I looked at them because we like very different styles of mattress - but neither of us liked how they felt. We bought a temper-pedic (however it is spelled) and LOVE it. I thought it was crazy to spend that much on a mattress, but I'm a firm believer.
My brother and sister -in-law have a sleepnumber - and they don't recommend it. I don't know what series they bought. |

| I do love mine, but it is a single air chamber. When my back is giving me problems, I just raise the number and it straightens me right out. The single air chamber doesn't have all the problems that people say they have with dual air chambers. Of course, for $1450 less, I bought an air mattress for my horse trailer at Wal-Mart that feels exactly the same. |

Location: The Great Northwest | I have had a Select Comfort air mattress for 40 years! I even have a Sleep Number in my LQ's. I couldn't sleep well on any other mattress. I love the adjustability and the memory foam on top. They are so comfy. |

| Have the dual chamber with the memory foam top, it is the best bed ever. Extremely comfy. Well worth the money spent. You can always adjust it depending on how you are feeling. |

| We HATED ours, it's in the guest room now. I always felt like I was rolling towards the middle of the bed. |

Location: Kansas | Slept on one for 22 years. No complaints except that with our old cheapie you could fill it with enough air to make it flat as a board and with the new much more expensive one it doesn't really allow you to do that. I think that has something to do with the pillow top.
I slept on one of those Tempur-pedics (however it's spelled) one time. I called it the concrete sponge. |

Location: Moving soon..... | I love mine. We have had it for almost 12 years. I have had to replace two chambers, but due to the warranty, not at full price.
I would love the new open cell memory foam bed, but not going to spend the money right now.

What do you hate about it?
I like harder beds. I can keep it at 100 and it deflates (brand new) down to anywhere from 90-80 at night. I bought a memory foam and LOVE it!

| HATED IT!!!
It was like sleeping on a glorified air mattress....got a tempurpedic a year ago and will never buy another bed. Best bed I've ever slept in hands down. |

| Had one for several years, loved that you could adjust your bed according to each likes but ours was a dual chamber and always felt that we were rolling to the middle and sinking to the bottom! |

It can take a month to get use to a temperpedic...but once you do..you will never go back. |

Location: Where Governor's make the liscense plates | I didn't care for the way they feel- I slept in a vacation house that only had tempur-pedics for a week, I hated it on day 1 by day 7 I was having the best sleep of my life. Tempur pedics are the best! They feel very odd at first- I'd see if you can do a trial if they do that with beds |

Location: Southern Oregon | We have an older sleep number...maybe 6 years old or 7. It took me a long while to get use to, but I do like it now. The only issues we have with it is that air chambers have worn out on the seams and we have had to patch both air chambers several times. :( |

Location: Mi | Bought a P5 about 6 wks ago. I'm not in love with it yet, but I don't hate it either. At this point I'm not sure it was worth the money it cost, but they tell me I have to give it 90 days to try it before I can make any decisions on sending it back. So I'm hoping soon, I start to LOVE it. |

| We have one. My husband loves it and I hate it. I have like 4" of foam piled on top of my side so I can't feel the air chamber. It makes my back hurt badly every single night. No matter what they say, you are NOT supposed to be aligned in the way that bed makes you be! Go get an air mattress if you are thinking about sleep number. I actually like cheap camping air mattresses MUCH more. |

I agree- people either love them or hate them. My husband and I are looking into them right now as well. I find that there are so many styles and options that its hard to get a simple "yes" or "no". I will say that I have seen the cheaper styles in person at homes and I am not impressed. My thinking is, if we are going to go this route we will be spending a big chunk of change to get a higher end model vs spending $1000 on the cheapest version they have. |

| Memory foam matresses come in plush or firm or half and half. I bought a cheap menory foam plush and i sleep by myself. It was still too firm and bought a 3 inch topper. Sometime this summer i will buy a more expensive bed and putmthis in, y trailer as i bought this used and have a pillow top and expesive one and it kills my back, put what i sleep in the trqiler and buy a better on for me. |

I agree the cheaper models are crap, we didn't even try the very high end models. They were more money then we wanted spend. |

| The thing with the sleep number beds is that the cheapest model they make is the same thing as the expensive kind. The only difference is how much foam they stick on top. And the kinds of foam. So basically its like an air mattress with a remote and a tempurpedic. |
