Location: Red Raiderland | Has anyone gotten to go to this show in Frisco(North Dallas)? It looks amazing. I saw it on the news a few days ago and the producer says it's Cirque du Soleil meets horses. I think it runs till the end of February. hmmm, I can't get the link to work on here. http://www.cavalia.net/en/odysseo |

I wonder how it is going over here in the Dallas area, too? I have seen tons of advertisement so I would guess the attendance is good. I hope it is because I want shows like this coming here. They set up this big top tent in an area of North Dallas that is heavily populated and a pretty expensive area in which to live. I do have to snicker when I hear that Frisco is THE place because I grew up very close to there in the 70's and 80's and believe me back then it was not even close to being posh! It was actually a bit dangerous. Goes to show any area can become THE place to be. |

Well New Orleans has the French Quarter and all the fine music, but it's also an oil town and there is a lot of money floating around here and the outlying areas. |

Location: nj | I loved it when I saw it. funny i was just thinking of this early today. There is a facebook page CHW network that places horses from a local sale that are headed for the kill pen - there is a team of 12 white arabs there tonight from a circus that will go though the sale. I wonder where they came from. |

Location: N Texas | I went the last time it came to Dallas, which was about 10 years ago. I didn't think I was going to get to go this year because everyone who originally wanted to go balked at the price. Well a couple days ago, my husband surprised me with tickets for this Saturday!! He's not really a horse person, so I was really surprised and am super excited to go since I don't know when (or if) they'll ever come back to Dallas.
It is an AWESOME show. Extremely well done and the horses are so impressive with the level of training they have. You won't be disappointed! |

I believe the show itself is 2 hours, but there is a 30 minute intermission. So a total of about 2.5 hours. |

T, I wish I could tell you that the VIP is worth it for a 6 year old but I won't be going until the 21st so I am no help. The only thing that I think any age would like about the VIP package is that you get a tour of the stables so that is cool. |

On a side note, yes I think a 6 yr old girl would love it. We had other people with us who couldn't make the VIP dinner, so can't say if it is worth the extra from that. |

I've never been to anything like this.. But I can think of A LOT of other things I could do with that kind of money lol unless those prices include multiple tickets...

I personally felt like it was worth it, but if I take my nieces with me next time I would just buy regular tickets. When we did the VIP my daughter got to meet several of the horses in person and actors. She really enjoyed it. She dreams of Lipizzaners and draft breeds, something different then what she is use to seeing everyday. The actors where super nice, but only a few spoke english well. ;) |

You can also purchase stable tours for $35 after you get there. I think a six year old would like it, but I personally wouldn't spend the extra money on a VIP ticket for a child. Unless you want the super close seats. Honestly, any (unobstructed view) seat you get will be good, you can see all the action no matter where you are. |

Location: Red Raiderland | I finally got a chance to get on here with my review...........OH MY GOSH it was magnificent!!! I was telling my parents about it tonight and I found myself saying, "WE COULDN'T BELIEVE THIS!" or "THEY DID THIS!" The VIP was awesome but if I took my teenaged nieces I would just do the show. We were in the middle 3 rows up from the front and I even regret being farther back to take it all in! I sure hope the show comes back to DFW soon because I want to take my nieces because they can't go this weekend, the last weekend of the show. If you live anywhere close to DFW go see it! The only thing I was bummed about is that they didn't have any draft breeds for our 2pm showing on Sat. |
