I didn't know how to start this thread but it is really about a belt.
A really close friend of mine passed away this past weekend. He gave me a belt for Christmas a few years back. I am not much of a belt wearer but have packed this thing around with me where ever I have moved to. This person means an awful lot to me.
I am wanting to have something made out of this belt so I will always have him with me. I had been looking at having a purse made before his passing, so I thought maybe I could have it made into the strap.
If anyone knows any REALLY REALLY good leather workers or has any other suggestions please send them my way.
Also if you could send up some prayers for his family they could use as many as they can get. He left behind a lot of people that love him and who think about him every single day.

Not sure how wide the belt is but you can have it made into a headstall. This way he could be with you in spirit everytime you run through the alley way. Another thought would be a wither strap. Prayers to his family and I am sorry for your loss.

I was in the same situation with my Dads belt - Went through our pictures and found one that really captured his life and the kind of man he was then found a picture frame wide enough to hold the belt - 45 the corners of the belt and glued it to outline the picture frame. Now I have it hanging up in my office.

Jc Navarro, you'll find him on facebook. He's amazing!! Look though his pictures.. If you message him, he's usually good about getting back to you quick.

The picture frame is a neat idea, as is the purse strap. I found a lady on facebook named Kim Hodgins (sp?) designs and she makes custom purses....might be something to look into to see if she could incorporate the belt.
