Who has used one of these and what did you think? Was it a pad or the one in the navajo? The design and the way it responds to horses back changes looks good, and am curious if like anything 'its as good as it sounds'.

I've used both kinds - just the pad and the pad w/blanket over it. I liked them. The only thing that happened to one of them was in the summer it got too hot in my trailer I guess and the gel insert fell out of one of them. Classic Equine replaced it though.

They are ok, some have compressed, but I think that is because a saddle doesnt fit as good as it should. I have one, use it on a horse that his saddle fits good. However, if your saddle doesnt fit as good as it should, I would look into the CSI pad, the concept is similar but CSI is a much better pad and the cost isn't that much more.

Good info. I'm currently using impact gel pad, but it's older and needs to probably be replaced. This sounds like relatively new technology and was interested in folks thoughts.
