I switched to Ultium when I purchased my colt last October, breeder recommended it. I absolutely love this feed. I feed it to my yearling and my competitive 7 year old gelding. It's pretty pricey but I don't have to feed so much of it because of how high in fat and protein it is.
I liked what it did to my youngster a couple years ago and the biggest bonus right now is Purina is one of the very few feeds that comes from medicated free facilities.
Extremely good feed for weanlings and yearlings, IMO. I paid $23 per 50 lb. bag yesterday (bought 4). I started using it last summer and it is probably the most "bang for the buck" of any feed that I have ever used based on the results I am seeing. And as stated above, the feed mill it comes from is rumensin free. JT

Exactly! I feed Stradegy for years but honestly wasn't very impressed with it. I worked at a feed store so I got a good deal on it. I then switched to triple crown and either I loved it or hated it, no consistency. Same with SafeChoice. No consistency at all.
I need something solid and consistant to feed my babies.
