Due to so many requests to be able to watch the Slack barrels at the RFD-TV's The American, we worked real hard to get the approval to do a live webcast for this historical event. We had the pleasure of covering 6 qualifiers this year from WA to FL and saw lots of great runs, and know most of these qualifiers this is a dream of a lifetime to compete on this big of a stage. We are so proud to be able to bring this to those that cant make it to Ft Worth Wednesday for the next step in the journey to AT&T Stadium. To answer a couple of questions I saw on this, as far as I know the barrels are the only one that is doing the live webcast.
Horses names were to be named tonight, and so far I have not got them to me, and not sure if I will get a copy sent to me before we start. If I do I will update the draw.
There is no internet at the arena, so we will be using our cell phone wifi card to broadcast, just like we do all month in AZ. So I dont see an issues, with it, but just keep that in mind. We will be having a leader and next up during the drags, along with some of our sponsors. Please let them know how much you enjoyed the webcast and thank them for sponsoring this webcast. Then having 3 performances: 20 in the first performance and 20 in the second performance, then the top 20 from those 2 rounds go on to the finals and the top 10 of the finals are the ones moving on to the American. Is this correct? |

Agreed. Very frustrating. Especially when I did have it on and was watching the pre stuff and just when the announcer started talking - poof - gone. grrrrr. I really wanted to watch my fellow Canadian Stephanie Mather and then my good friend Paul Humphreys sister Stacey Gates on Paul's horse Buddy. :( |

Sorry, but the webcast is out of our control. It was pointed to another server, (not the one provided by Barrel Horse World). We were promised the stream would be pointed at us, but their server has apparently been overwhelmed and crashed. Barrel Horse World is not getting the feed from the 321Action Video server they are using.
We will try to have them redirect the webcast feed directly to the larger Barrel Horse World server. |

| I am beyond annoyed. If this was a last minute thought to have it aired, then that's just sad on their part. If you're going to advertise and promote the event, then do it right. It should have been on TV as well anyway. Internet is not reliable. If this was another sport, it would have been done right. Here's an example of one reason ours is lagging. How frustrating. |

This is just RFD's second year doing this and I am sure there is a learning curve involved but I look at this as a positive for our industry. So many people wanted to see this it crashed the server---I see this as a positive thing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Mine has twice so far. I refreshed my web browser and hit play again and it worked smoothly for quite a while after. I have really slow internet though so it's not helping either. |

At a 2 header rodeo you can run whatever you wish, but at a barrel race you can't. So is this set up more like a rodeo or a barrel race? :) |

Those top 30 then got put in a draw as to which perf they would run in. There are three performances Friday, Saturday, Sunday and ten from the 30 will run in each perf. From there they will take the top 10 to the finals March 1st. Or top 4? I thougt it was top 4 last year and then for some reason I thought I saw top 10 somewhere.

On Sunday after all 30 have ran they will take the top 10 to The American.
Amberley runs at the The American. This is only the semi finals.
The only people qualified for The American so far is the top 10 from the NFR, Amberley and Charmayne. |

Location: Where I am happiest | At the finals, march 1. The top 10 qualifiers from the semi's, take on the top 10 in the world plus the 2 exemptions. Everyone will all make their first run at the finals. Then the top 4 from that long go will run again. Every go, every run, through the semi's and the finals is a clean slate run. No times are carried to the next run.
So really, comming through the qualifiers, your horse has to make 5 of the best runs of his life in a row to get to that $1 Million.
