Location: Gainesville, TX | So you can buy an own daughter of Special Effort, 1997 model, 90 SI, 2400 won on track and has produced a couple track money earners (not big time though) for 3k. She is o/o of a daughter of six fols on the bottom. Currently open.
Or you can buy a daughter of Streakin Six for 6k, all TB on the bottom and not much recognizable, 1999 model. SI 83, 2900 won. 2 foals, no performers. Currently bred to an APHA stud.
Assume you have cash for both. Which would you buy?

Location: Montana | Probably option B, then option C, depending on what you would plan to cross them on. I like Special Effort but being the age of that mare and the fact she is open would hinder me from looking at her. The age of mare C would be a plus to me, but to have an own daughter of Streakin Six would be an exciting one to have because you could have sooo many fun crosses. I don't care much for her age as well either, but still better than mare A. |

Not crazy about the price/stats/bottom side of the 2nd mare.
I DO like the bottom side of the 3rd mare. AAA so she earned an ROM, little $$$ won, did I mention that bottom side? She'd be my pick. |

They had had some trouble in the area, something about a quarantine and spraying. I offered to wait but haven't heard back. The lady was super nice the couple times she answered my questions. I just wish I had something more concrete. It would help me move/not move on the others. |

| Honestly, I look at the female family first. What did each mare's dam produce? Do they have full sisters that have produced?,
I want as good a chance to get winners as possible! |

The Special Effort mare, Special Weekend's, dam had her own earnings of 27k, an SI of 101, 26 starts with 8 wins, stakes winner, register of merit, Foals ran out 76k, leading winner won 36k. The leading earner, Special Capuccino is a full brother to this mare.
The Streakin Six mare Six Feet Under's TB dam only produced one runner and it was this mare.
The dam Shawne Kate Shine, Shawne Kate, earned 10k herself on the track, was a stakes winner, SI 89, and had earners of 726k. This mare is a 3/4 sister to two 100k money earners by this same dam and a full sister to one earner of over 60k and full sister to one earner of over 40k; She's also a 3/4 sister to Darkelly and to Latricia Duke's First Down Kate. You might see why I love her.
Another one I'm considering is also by First to Shine and out of a Shawne Bug mare, Kelsey Bug, who won 28k herself and produced winners of 227k. This mare is unraced and currently bred.
ETA: You can sort of see the whole Shawne Bug mares are great producers in this lineup lol.
