I have been working all day, so I keep expecting to collapse but it hasn't happened yet. |

I'm pretty cheery actually. eventhough I've been awake since early. been resting and resting and drinking fluids. and flushing my sinuses.. yeah. TMI. Trying essential oils tonight. Tomorrow will be day #5 of sickness. Sorry you have heartburn. I hope you've gotten relief. |

Put some Vicks or Mentholatum (sp?) under your nose, above your lip.... Any allergy nose spray?
Feel better. |

I am blaming my crud on my gift-giving co-workers who came to work sick last week because they refuse to take a sick day. Why you ask.?? bcs at the end of the year any unused sicktime we get paid for it at 1.5x so that's just an incentive to work sick. and to top it off... we work in healthcare. an ambulatory surgery center where we deal with immune compromised patient for a myriad of reasons. not to mention they're having SURGERY. let's give them a sickness too while they're here. |

I've been guzzling the cough syrup with codeine. Not helping. I've rubbed down with Vicks and with Thieves essential oil and oregano essential oil (that one burned... shouldn't have been hard headed and diluted it like the girl told me too) |

| Try blue-green algae for your sinus/allergies. After 10+ sinus surgeries, I have recently discovered that just 2 capsules- one in the am and 1 in the pm have really helped with drainage and infection. I get fungal ball, polyps, infections. Allergy shots did not help, antibiotics certainly don't help. Steroids were a big zero. Essential oils haven't really helped but to be fair I haven't given them a true shot. They do however help my asthma. |

I'm trying really hard not to catch anything since I know my immune system is down with this crud. Plus, the fatigue of shift work. I was up at 3 this morning. Night shift this coming weekend. It's brutal! |

I used to never run fever. Ever. But I've noticed that now that I'm in my late 40's every time I get a little sick I start running fever.
I hope you can get to feeling better. I couldn't imagine working a swing shift. Taking call at the hospital for surgery was enough for me.! Glad I don't have to do that anymore. |

Wow! I only thought my sinus problems were bad! The shots worked very well for me. Pregnancy threw everything off now I am back where I was ten + years ago. It hasn't been like this in a very long time. I will be going back to start the shots again soon. Sad thing is, my little one seems to have gotten my allergy problems. We are trying to figure out what in the world is making his skin break out. Adjusting his diet doesn't seem to be working. |

Location: Montana | I've had good luck using a drop of hydrogen peroxide in the nose to clear out my sinuses when I'm sick. I can never breathe when I get a cold and I can't sleep well either because I can't breathe. But I'm one of those who will take whatever kind of medication it takes to get me to sleep, be it allergy meds, or some kind of cold/flu concoction you can buy in the store. I personally have really good luck with Alkaseltzer plus cold, as I get at least 4-6 hours of sleep. |

I don't know how you could get a little one to do this but the raw/alkaline diet worked awesome, too. But I lost it during the holidays and need to get back to it. You might look into the essential oils for him. Just be sure you find some one very knowledgeable. Kids are super sensitive to them. My son has allergies and asthma so I know your frustration! |

No! Thank goodness! I've actually been able to start legging my mare up and I've got a couple of rides on my youngster! But, they say we maybe be expecting some snow Friday and Saturday. I'm loving the awesome Secret Santa gifts. Because most of our January we had over 2 feet of snow on the ground I haven't been able to use much of the horse stuff, but as it gets closer to spring I will be able to.
Sorry to hear you are sick. My dad brought home the first cold of our house this season just this week...I'm hoping and praying I don't catch it. But be sure to eat your chicken soup (it really does help!), get lots of fluids and take plenty of zinc, that'll fix you up in no time! :) |

I'm going to look into that. He is only six months (well, almost seven now) so we are removing the recently introduced solids and going to a hypoallergenic formula. It tastes awful, too! Right now, he will only eat it when it has bananas in it. So, weaning him off of the bananas, lol. Thankfully, he has no signs of asthma yet. His skin looks bad, though. I'd do anything to get this figured out! I'm gonna look for the blue green algae stuff for myself. |

Location: Down South | I'm bumping up last night's night chat because here I am again awake and working on relaxing and winding down to sleep. I do feel better though. Don't know if it was the sinus flush, the essential oils I rubbed on my feet, temples and spine, or the vick's vapor rub I coated my chest with. Oh yeah, and let's not forget the cough syrup with codeine, levaquin, claritin, and ru hist D. Whatever the catalyst was I got a good night's sleep and I awoke feeling better. |
