What is everyones experience with a bruised/strained flexor tendon? Did your horse come back from it after some time off?

I had a DDFT tear and with a strict rehab program my horse came back 100% sound.

Had one with ddft strained in 3 spots. Did stem cell, back in training in 6 months, competing in 10. I have the understanding that ddft injuries have a lot to do with foot conformation and shoeing.

As long as we keep his feet done correctly (short toe, equilibrium shoes, and done every 4 weeks) he is fine.  If his toe is allowed to get long, he gets sore.

I would try the Ultr Oz.  My rep said that they are having great results using it with this type of injury.  You just put it on and let it treat.  You dont have to be ther .  If you want the reps name message me .  Also Structural Build and Painaway will definetly help.
