Off topic here! I am going to Hawaii with my boyfriend May 6 to May 18. We will be in Oahu, and we will have a car. What are some must-dos while we are there? Obviously Pearl Harbor and the volcanos, but what else can we do while we are there? Open to ANYTHING, we are a very active couple.

You will need to hop a flight to the big island if you want to see the active volcano.
Tons to do on Oahu, google it and choose what interest you. Also there are been several threads on this topic, maybe do a search.

Drive to the North Shore to see the really big waves.  That's where they have the big surfing events.  Go to a Luau, their are a lot of fun and the food is wonderful as well as the entertainment.  Go snorkeling.

I have done the 4 wheeler tour on Kualoa Ranch -- that is well worth the tour!! It is absolutely beautiful there. North Shore beach is a neat place to go see. Also look up Giovanni's shrimp truck -- their shrimp and grilled corn are awesome-- make sure you sign the truck! Stairway to heaven is one place you have to see. It's closed by it'll give you chills just imagining climbing it. My step daughter did and almost got too scared to make it.  Be prepared for traffic - it's horrendous! But it's a neat place to go see and the weather is perfect.

If you decide to go to North Shore - make sure to try as many of the side venders (roach coaches) for their food - they are great and not what you would expect

Two things I highly recommend on Oahu:  The Bishop Museum and snorkeling at Haunama Bay.  Great beginner spot for snorkelers or braver/more experienced can go further out.

So much to see and do there!  I want to go back.  Definitely take a trip to the North Shore, it is absolutely beautiful.  The Dole Plantation is a tourist attraction but really cool and the fresh pineapple ice cream is YUMMY.  Snorkeling in Hanauma Bay is definitely a must like another poster indicated.  Plan for an entire day at the Arizona Memorial and take the time to visit the USS Missouri as well - that is one of the most humbling trips I have ever been on.  The view from the top of Diamond Head is amazing.  Waikiki Beach is VERY busy and crowded but still beautiful - I liken it a bit to being on the Vegas strip next to the ocean.  Have a fanatastic time.  You will love it.  What hotel?  We stayed at the Holiday Inn Beachcomber and I liked it for the location.  Rooms were clean and decent and Jimmy Buffet's is right there too.  Oh and go eat at Cheeseburger in Paradise right on Waikiki Beach- best burger I've ever had (aloha burger).

Hike Diamond Head it is beautiful ! Also rent a car and drive the north shore so gorgeous and the Dole Plantation is cool. The pineapple ice cream is AMAZING! There was a really good sea food place called the Crab Bucket that had amazing seafood. Also the revolving restraunt, if you only stop in for drinks I would go check it out. Kualoa ranch is a must see, go take a tour (I would recommend the 4-wheeler)
