Location: Do I hear Banjos? | Well...I tried to watch the agility last night...but our dang Direct TV was having problems and we could ony watch networks. So...We watched the finale of Two and a Half Men.
THAT was painful to watch. At some point making fun of the show itself became mocking the audience that used to enjoy it. Chuck Lorre wrote/directed this episode like a scorned former employer. Like him or not...the show Jumped the Shark when Sheen left. I was very dissapointed in this finale. The storyline was just lame and that whole animation sequence was just odd. Having the kid show up and make lame jokes at the shows expense was irritating after the way this guy publicly bashed the show that was his meal ticket all these years. Guess he was morally ok with making a bit more money off it...kinda hypocritical.
Online reviews show I'm not alone in my dissapointment. This alternate plot suggestion posted by someone else really would have made for a MUCH better ending. Ole Chuck just couldn't be creative and bitter at the same time I guess:
"Worse series ending ever. One or two jokes about how lame the show was would have been plenty. There was no need to devote an entire hour to it. Having sheen back would have been nice but it wasn't necessary. How about a show where Walden and his new love want to move to a more kid friendly area and Walden signs the house over to Alan. Once they leave Alan dances through the house loving every inch. He is happier than he ever was. The show ends with Alan in his giant bed in the master suite watching TV. There is a news update, a man has been found in pit in the basement of a house right in Malibu. His wife has been keeping him there for years after convincing his family he was dead. Rose is seen being taken away by police. The doorbell rings and the Alan screems NOOOOOOOO!"
THAT would have been a finale worth watching. |

| I am officially an old fuddy duddy. I quit watching years ago when I could no longer take the objectivecation (?) of women any more. My kind of humor is Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory. Parks and Recreation, lol. |

What I did watch just seemed weird to me. The goat?? Really??? I expected more out of it, but in shocked it went in as long as it did without Charlie. |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | Yeah...we liked the older episodes when the kid was young and the dialog was more funny than raunchy. And I couldn't enjoy Ashton C. at all. It always seems like in shows that when they run out of good lines...they just go to being raunchy to compensate.
We figured it was the last episode so maybe they would be creative and it would be good. But...not so much.
Unfortunately...the Big Bang Theory has gone more that way as time goes on. It's just not as cleverly written anymore. |

Location: South Dakota | I thought it was terrible. I used to love that show back when the jokes were funny instead of just stupid. I thought the best parts of last night's show were the ones with Arnold S. and Christian Slater. I did think that "Berta" looked really good.

Location: North Dakota | It was a whole hour of bashing Charilie Sheen. The show needed to end years ago! It was like they just got tired of writing so they just decided to see how stupid they could make the show but still have people watch. Like them getting married to adopt a child? The whole animated part of last nights show was very very dumb. Almost like a last minute idea to throw that in there to get a few more punches in at Charlie (like having sex with a goat).

I tried watching the first couple episodes after Charlie left but I couldn't handle it. I'm probably going to get flamed for this but I actually liked it when Charlie was on and I watch the re-runs whenever I see them on. |

Yep. I think I have only seen like 4 episodes including last night's since Charlie left. I watched one when Ashton first started and then stopped for years untill just recently I watch a few more. |

LOL I didn't even realize they were ending the show. I don't watch the major networks except for Last Man Standing.

| I began to see how sexist and degrading that show truly is to women and suddenly, those jokes weren't so funny. Normally, I'm not such a stick in the mud, but it's hard enough to keep all my daughter's self esteem where it should be, shows like that valued women right up there with a happy meal. I'm thrilled to see it go. Sheen is disgusting anyway. |

Location: Southeast Louisiana | I couldn't stand Charlie Sheen, for the reasons stated above. It was definitely a part written for him as it seems like that was always his attitude toward women. I could actually stomach it a little more when Ashton was on there, but I still only watched it because it came on between two other shows I like.
Finale was pretty terrible. |

I agree on the Big Bang Theory. It was my favorite show for years but I just don't care much for it anymore. I tried watching the new season and after two episodes I was done. I'll just watch re-runs. |
