found this video while doing research. pentosan does not have an FDA approval in the US. It does have the equivalent of in countries over seas.
at min. 4:30 it gives results of a study between adequan and pentosan. both are A++ products in my book but I thought this video was very informational.

Very interesting. According to this Pentosan (which I've been pronouncing wrong all these years) is "better" than Adequan. That I find very interesting. I love Adequan and have has great results with it, but this is very interesting information. Thank you for sharing!

I was also a little shocked but adequan and pentosan are totally different materials so one could be more effective than the other for a specific case... I cant really find any hard studies for that though.

Yes. That video has been out for quite some time. I also watched it WITH my vet few months ago. Here is the difference between the two. Both pentosan and adequan horses showed marked improvement in lameness scores. The difference is, pentosan keeps horses sounder LONGER than adequan.

Next...do any compare to polyglycan? The Polyglycan seems to get results faster then adequan...but I have not used pentosen. Can it be given for every run and be on polyglycan for maintence?

Pentosan is not engineered for immediate results (we often see them though)it is more for maintenance. If your looking for something to use before show legend is design just for what your describing and works very very well

Polyglycan I use as well. Its a combination of HA, Glucosamine and Chondroiton. It has a pretty immediate effect. Adequan takes the longest to see results and pentosan takes about 24 hours to kick in. I like them all for different reasons.
