Location: MN | I'm having a bridal shower for my soon to be daughter in law and I need punch ideas. This is going to be a very small shower(16 people at the most)
We are serving fruit kabobs, cheese, meat and cracker tray, strawberries dipped in chocolate and mini cupcakes. What would be a good punch to go with this? |

Location: Texas | If you want simple, I love sherbert ice cream (whatever flavor/color goes with your color scheme) and gingerale. I like lime, but any any flavor works. You can put an ice ring in to keep it cold. I love this stuff. |

How do you make it? Sounds good! Her colors are a lite pink, so I think this would work. |

I get kind of skeeved out by melting ice cream so we made up this one instead and it's awesome for "pink" themed showers:
Raspberry lemonade - the kind that's Simply Lemonade - for your size, I'd go with the gallon size
Sprite or Club Soda - depends on how sweet you want it. I used Club for a baby shower when momma was on a special diet
Frozen Raspberries - I used two bags of the Wal-mart brand
Dump them all together and stir. If you want to make it alcohol, we mix it with champagne but I bet vodka would be good as well as rum. |

What sizes do you buy of everything? And do you add water to the frozen raspberry juice or just dump it in? |

2 cans of Strawberry Breeze (that's the name I guess it isn't raspberry!)
3-4 cans of water, depending on how strong you want it
1 2 liter bottle of cherry 7 up
1 regular size container of Raspberry Sherbert, buy a good brand, the generic stuff is pretty nasty
You could also add a small container of frozen raspberries for decoration! |

I went to a shower once that had little plastic naked baby dolls frozen in the ice cubes in the punch. It was majorly creepy! Explanation was whoever got a melting baby cube in their punch would be the next to get pregnant! Yuck! (I drank water to be safe)
So...my vote is something fruity like ginger ale and cranberry juice (or the tasty fruit stuff mentioned in other posts)
But nothing with chunks of anything in it. Especially not baby shaped chunks. |
