| I am planning on moving to TX this summer and would like suggestions for good areas to live, somewhere with not a lot of crime and where the wages are higher and the rent is lower (if there is such a place). I will also be bringing a horse so if anyone knows of a good boarding facility they could suggest I would appreciate it. :) Thank you!! |

| I think the kind of employment you want might dictate the best place to relocate. Texas is a large state. You need to know that it gets HOT here in the summer. |

| I am looking for office type work, I know the state is very large. Was just hoping people that live in the state or are familiar with it could suggest some good areas to live and work. As far as hot weather that does not bother me. |

| I am definitely open to other types of jobs but my background has been in an office (insurance 10 years) and real estate for 3 years. |

| The Tyler Longview area is nice I would not say no crime but certainly low crime. Of course it depends on the part of town you live in. There are several places that I know of to board in Longview and areal swanky place in Tyler. |

| We have tuff barrel races here. If you can compete here, you can compete anywhere. They are fun too everyone gets along which is nice. By the way, I am terrible.
In Longview
Triple Creek Stables. Have an arena but is set up for the English Crowd
Fisher farms. They have an arena and just started having a practice night on Friday.
Tyler
I think it is called Tyler Rose Arena. They have an indoor and two or three outdoor arenas. Very fancy. There seems to be a lot of real estate activity in those towns. |

Location: Texas | I am 45min North of Tyler, this small area of East Tx is great. We are in the country but still have the major cities withing distance. I would stay close to Tyler, Longview, Marshall, Pittsburgh or Greenville & Sulphur Springs. Great employment opportunities, cheaper living but safe for families and good quality acreage with tons of good vets, farriers and trainers. We have barrel races in this area almost every day of the week!!!!! |

Location: Texas | I would look somewhere closer to ft worth area for work. There is a great boarding facility in azle tx ran by a barrel racer. Tammy Kidd. It might be called Wild West arena ...I am not sure. This would give you lots of job possibilities. You could work in Ft worth, weatherford, azle etc. |

San Antonio does have its appeal. Charmayne James moved from E TX To Boerne. |
