Location: on my horse | I tried a fitbit flex and hated it, it's extremely sensitive and I had trouble with it turning itself in and out of sleep mode. I ended up going with a Polar loop and love it! it tracks things more accurately than the fitbit flex and i like that I only have to connect it once every 12 days, its battery lasts forever its waterproof and all i have to do is touch it to get calories steps time and how much longer to my goal if I'm jogging, walking, or just being on my feet. It also dumps your info into an online thing and charts your progress. |

Location: MS | I have the Flex and although I like it. I wouldn't purchase it again. I've had it replaced twice now because it quit charging. It must be a known issue because Fitbit didn't even question me when I emailed them. They just sent me another one. I've had mine for over a year now so they may have changed but I wish it had a heartrate monitor so you would know how many calories you burned during exercise instead of it just guessing. I thought I would like the arm band over a clip on but it gets annoying and if you're arm is moving (like clapping) it will track steps. It also tracks steps when I'm rocking my little boy to sleep and riding horses too. I usually take it off when riding because I'm afraid I'll lose it. It comes off easily especially after it's been used a while. The "snaps" get looser. |

| My mom wanted a fitbit but I went with the Vivofit for her Christmas present. SHe likes it and a few teachers I work with have one and love it. One I work with has a fitbit and hated it. Had to get replacements twice. |

Location: Nebraska | I have a polar loop as well. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't count steps or movement if you're pushing something or not moving your arm. When I'm at work (I'm a nurse) pushing my computer from room to room, it doesn't count that as activity. It also doesn't count if I'm on the eliptical and not using the arm things. |

| I have a Polar FT6...had it for 3 years and LOVE it!! I feel like I can't work out without it because I love to see my heart rate soar as I work harder and it is supposed to be one of the most accurate calorie counters out there. |

| I have had my fitbit flex for a year and I love it. I have not had any problems with mine. The armband works much better for me than one of the clip on ones. There are a lot of options out there so I suggest do a lot of reading and get one that fits your needs. Personally I love my fitbit flex. |

Location: California | I have the Fitbit Flex and LOVE it!! It is such a motivator for me to get up and get moving more. I did look at the Garmins, but the thing that pushed me to the Fitbit is that all the girls in my office have one and I wanted to be able to link up with them for encouragement. We do the challenges and it is a fun way to be competitive with eachother.
I like that it isn't too big and bulky. I like the idea of the Charge, but it seemed too bulky for me. I also think it's neat to track my sleep...not that I do anything with that data, it's just neat to see. |

Location: The edge of no where | I have the clip on FitBit - the One.
It's a good motivator. Sometimes it will give you credit for more stairs that you've done, but overall, its' pretty good. Being able to set goals on it does help me. Its a great reminder at the end of the day if I haven't met my activity goal. Not really what it's for...but it's handy to get an idea of how much I've exercised my horses as well. I glance at the app and see where I am when I get on and check it again when I get off. Not sure I'd do well with a wristband, clipping it on my bra works great for me. For $100, it's been a good tool. |

| I have a VivoFit and like that it tracks my activity all day, keeps me aware of not laying around for too long. I also wear a Polar, HR monitor when I work out. It has settings that are very specific to my age, weight and fitness level. The Vivo calculates calories burned almost twice as much as my Polar which is the accurate one, wish it were the Vivo, lol. |

| I have a Viviofit and love it! I love that you don't have to charge it, and I think it's pretty accurate for steps. You can't "trick" it into more steps, but it counts steps when I don't move my arms too.
If anyone is interested, I've currently got a 100 day challenge going on Facebook (just started yesterday) where we all track our steps for 100 days (10,000 is the daily goal for steps + 100 ounces of water). I'd love to add some more people to it! Totally free, and there's prizes at the end :). |

Location: Never in one place long | My husband has a fit bit and LOVES it! It's definitely motivating. Get the good one though, don't bother with a cheap one! he gets $ to put into his account for the amount of steps he takes for his HSA accnt so it's nice. At first I thought it was dumb but now I want one for Christmas! It definitely is a good indicator on how much exercie you are actually getting, I say it's worth the money! |

Location: Spokompton, Wa | I have the FitBit Charge HR and I love it! I've had it since February and it's worked awesome the whole time. And I wear it all day, everyday.
Do not wear it when you ride though. Unless you want it to count your horse's steps. lol

I refuse to believe this. I like the calories I'm burning according to my VivoFit, |

| Here's the FB group for anyone that wants to join the challenge. You can screenshot from your phone or whatever you want to do to add to each day's thread :) It's called "100 Days of Summer" and it's a private group on FB.

You just need the dongle if you're syncing to a computer. If you've got an iPhone, just download the app. I'm guessing an android phone is the same way. I tried syncing mine to the computer....but didn't like it. Just use your phone. |
