I'm casually looking for a new quality saddle...what are some brands that offer demos to try? I am a more agressive foward rider and don't like to feel I am "stuck" in a saddle...but would like to find something that is easy to stay seated in the turn and don't want to get thrown forward. I am open any saddle at this time...wanting to keep an open mind. Thoughts?

brlracerchick - 2015-03-05 4:57 PM double J but I think you have to pay for the saddle you try and then are credited when you send it back minus about $125
Is there a particular saddle you can recommend from these guys? The Pozzi pro seems to have a fairly high cantle which I'm not usually a huge fan of because they tend to be hard to up out of...but I like the looks of the Duke...do you have any experience with that particular one?

KatieMac I've been looking into the Martins...A firend has the Crown C that I am going to try later this spring to see how I like it. From what I've read sounds like these should work as long as I use the shims and get the correct seat size.

Yes they are nice saddles. If you contact the company they are great about helping you get the right gullet and seat size. If you're close to Greenville, Texas you could even go there and have them fit your horse.

You would probably like the Pro Racer! I don't think you would like the pozzi as many people complain that they feel thrown forward. I personally love my pozzi's. Just got a Pro and love it too!

Does anybody know anything about Stoney's?
I've heard nothing but good things about them! I know there's a pretty long waiting period though - the last I heard was 2 years out I think. I don't know if they do demos or not.

I have a Stoney... He's about a year out. He doesn't do demo saddles. I love mine. I feel very balanced in it. I also have a Pozzi. It has a deep seat, but I can still get up and ride.

How does your stoney compare to the Pozzi as far as the deep seat feeling?

My Pozzi has a little deeper seat. Both saddles sit you in the middle of your horse. I feel very comfortable in both seats. I like a deeper seat.
