I want to make an investment in arena laser stakes for my shows.  Does anyone have a solution for making your own, or another source other than FarmTek.

The first ones I ever saw the guy found some laser pointers that he somehow rigged to activate remotely and attached them to his rafters in the spot he wanted.

One of our local arenas used garage door opener laser sensors installed in the rafters - don't ask me how they did it though!

Thanks for that reply.  I looked those up, that's a great idea.  I just ordered 1 for $20 and am going to see how I think it works before I invest in the other 2.  My biggest challenge is going to be finding a way to securely anchor them.  Thanks again.!!

This is the same as the first ones I saw.  They rigged them to turn on and off with a switch and hard wired them in.  They are actually still in use at that arena and are several years old.
Only issue is that they are fixed...can not change the position with different associations but that has not been a big problem for that arena.

I have these installed in our arena! They are way more affordable and have worked great for us. Installation was simple with a little help from a skyjack to reach the rafters to hang them.
