| I'm assuming the flies are the same critters, correct? If so, any recommendations on which company to use? I've never used either of them and I swore last year I was going start using these little boogers to cut down on the flies this year! Thanks! |

| Used to pay for these but we now just use the water and change in a bag bc one year i forgot to order and we saw no difference. I was told I might see an increase coming up bc my previous religious ordering cut down our fly population but its been 3 years and its the same. Barn looks ghetto with them hanging up but its a whole lot cheaper. |

Location: Online | We used Spalding for 4 years, but it didn't do any good. If you have close neighbors with livestock and they don't keep the manure cleaned up they don't work unless they use them too. You buy them by how many animals you have. If the flies are coming from the neighbor down the road, the predators can only do so much. We were overrun with flies. Bought the fly tape and strung it everywhere along with the predators and still couldn't keep up. We decided to just save our money and stick with fly tape. (No pun intended) |

It depends on your area. The brochure I have for Arbico says mid-March for my area and Spalding says April. I think they have zone maps on their respective websites. |

My neighbor is my Mom's herd of cattle and she gives them a feed through fly control, which has helped A LOT with the amount of flies. I was thinking that if she did that and I did the little bugs, we would reduce the amount of flies even more. |

Location: SE KS | I have used both, I like them, seemed to keep flies at a minimum. I use the Arbico ones, bc they cost a little less.

I have both catalogs and after looking at Arbico, I like the other products they offer as well. My husband and I grow a garden and I'm interested in a more organic approach to dealing with pests that ruin my squash!!!! |

| Wasted my money on the Spalding! Only way it is going to work is if you live out in the boonies by yourself with no neighbors and have a few head of horses that you religiously pick up their poop. They wanted me to order enough critters to spread over our entire 60 acres because of the cattle. NOT happening. Plus you can't use fly spray on the horses in the area that has the critters. I would have to take the horses out away from the barn to put fly spray on them since the spray will kill the critters. I think these things fall in the catagory of "if it sounds to good to be true then it is" |
