I am wondering if there is lots of opportunities for this kind of job?
Do you need to have some contact to be able to get an opening?
What should I expect?

Thanks for answers!??

I know of 2 positions open now. 1 for a prominant barrel horse trainer looking for an assistant, and 1 with a reined cowhorse trainer. Pay is usually low, but housing is also usually offered as part of the deal.

A lot of trainers do internship type arrangements. Provide housing and food. Sometimes you can bring one horse. Usually there is very little if any pay.
