| I'm so excited that I get to see my old barrel mare tonight. We had a quick and painful parting ways in August due to my family problems that I no longer deal with. So it's been about 7 months since we have even seen each other, and boy has it been a TOUGH 7 months. I worked with Dee for a bit over 6 years, built her up from nothing to a 2d youth, 3d open horse. I worked with her about every day, then suddenly I didn't have her anymore.
So then depression, and winter, and attempted battery....well long story short, it was a BAD 7 months. So I'm just happy I get to see my best friend tonight. Now I just have to get through this last day of school before spring break and we can start the 4 hour drive to see her.
Please no one comment anything that is going to make me regret sharing this happy event. Thanks!
ETA: That picture was taken at our last race.... I miss being that happy, for sure.
Bottom picture is one of the ones I took when I saw her. It was dinner time so she was running between the trailer/her food and me. Her owner transformed her trailer to her shelter until their barn is done in a few months. haha She loves it.

| Oh ya, her owner takes great care of her even though she can't ride her much. She's planning on breeding her next spring, Nonstop Firewater is who she's thinking for her. We have worked with him and he's nice. |

| love happy stories :) counting down the last 3 hours of this work friday so this post gave me a reason to smile. i hope you enjoy your visit. it's awesome that even though it was really hard for you to part with her, you know she is very well taken care of and you can still visit her. make sure you give that new owner hugs too for being so great to your girl and to you 
ETA: she is supa fine!!!! my husband dreams of having a horse built like that one day for roping!

I never owned her, I just trained and raced her since the owner got her since she is owned by a western pleasure trainer. Me and her owner were super close, and I showed her in all around events, including western pleasure and english pleasure. haha She is quite good at english events.
Roping is the one thing we have never done with her simply because neither of us know how to rope. haha R.E. Josey wanted to rope on her, said she would be an awesome team roping horse. She's a bit tall for most tie down ropers or bull doggers.
I want to send her to the awesome paint stallion, Special Contender. Special Effort/Bully Bullion/Easy Jet crossed on those sturdy old bloodlines. Plus a high chance for color and regular registry.

| Well, just got done visiting her, they left me alone to get my crying out, but I managed to snap some pictures of her.

It is the same owner, she just moved. She told me that she is going to let me use her for my final year of 4H too, so I'm the happiest I have been in 7 months. |
