I'm slowly reno'ing the house on a shoestring budget. I am going to tackle my living room furniture next. It's dated and I'd like to bring it into the 21st century but still somewhat rustic and comfortable. Some of my idea.
My new sofa will be a grey sectional and will be here shortly and I have a leather ottoman. I decided to replace the tile in these with river rock tile but can't decide on the wood finish. I have an off white paint that I can antique (did my kitchen cabinets this and the island dark chocolate the backsplash is the yellow with dark countertops), or a dark Ebony stain (I'm redoing the large dining room set in this). The floor is getting restrained dark walnut as soon as it warms up to air the house. The accents are turquoise and a rustic yellow and I have huge windows on all sides. One accent wall is turquoise as well. It all plays together because it's a huge great room type open concept
Here's a pic of the bigger table. I currently use for my dads orchids and there is also 2 side tables with the same. Also included a pic of the river rock tile and accent turquoise I picked. I think it would look pretty as both but can't decide if I want to go bold or subtle. Which do you think would look better.
