What has worked for you? Im trying to do some research so I will have a better understanding of management and treatment techniques to discuss with the vet before her appointment. 18 yo mare. Has gotten a little stiff in front (knees) but is fine with THE supplement. Last year her back left ankle (she kicked a fence when younger and it left a small knot) started giving her grief. We had her at the stud to be bred and had some issues with her cycling so she spent 3 months there. Now that ankle is hurting pretty good esp getting up... We are having it xrayed to check for a bone spur, etc. I wonder if its fusing? Ive had her off THE for a while and just got her back on it (5 days) and she is really improved but she cant stay on it prego. Trying to get her bred this will be her first and only foal but I worry about the strain on her ankle and being prego and is there anything safe for bred mares ugh. We are almost finished treating her for ulcers (not sure if that matters). Thanks in Advance.

My sister had a broodie with arthritis in her knee. She IV'd glucosamine. It helped her a lot.
