I have one and I love it. I have had it for eleven years and it is still in great condition. They make top of the line saddles! Has fit every horse I have put it on also.

I've had several through the years and felt like they really fit a horse nicely and were nice quality saddles.  I don't remember them sitting quite as deep as i'd like them too, but other than that they rode nice and balanced.  I'd love to try another but not willing to sell my current saddles to do so.

I have a push style mare so I really won't need to sit too deep lol. If I sit, she hits. I just need to get something that fits her better. . . she's built more cowy and round. . .

My child rides one.  I love how centered it sits her.

Lol, well...since my proportions are so odd with my legs being so long I struggle to find a saddle that really "fits" me.  I tend to ride a bigger seat to be able to have my legs where I want them and then I don't feel very secure.

So...Stanley and I are experimenting with a Bob Marshall Cutting tree in a 14.5" because I love the way it sits.  He thinks that he can tinker with the design and make me a stripped down ranch cutter/barrel saddle.

Right now I have one of his wide trees borrowed.  I like it a lot. Pj has a high cantle one with his regular tree and Savvy has a cute little 10".  I know a lot of ladies are really liking the flex tree saddles that he's building.

I would like to try the wide tree one sometime.  I had Kelli White's Allen Ranch while my Coats was getting repaired and I LOVED how it sat.  Her saddle was too narrow but I am sure it was just a standard.

I'm anxious to hear how you like this!  The saddle i'm currently riding is a cutting tree stripped down to a barrel saddle.  I ride much like you're describing and if I stand up and my feet go behind me, I can't stand it.  I was riding a Joey Jemison cutter but the seat was too big, so I had Jeff Smith build this cutter for me.  Looks like a barrel saddle, rides like a cutter.....best of both worlds!

This one is supposed to be a 15", but it sits pretty dadgum tight for a 15, lol  I haven't measured it.  If you feel like coming down to Bixby, you are welcome to come ride with us.  Even if it's muddy you can ride in the indoor pen.  It's not huge, but plenty big enough to lope some decent circles. I don't have anything to take right now so I'm just using that saddle to ride when I get to.

I see a wide one on their site in the used saddles. Is that the one you have?

No, I don't see the one that I have on there.  That one was there the last time I was over there.  He's just down the road from us, so I stop in pretty frequently, lol.

I could run by there and get it if you want?  We have to be at the Barrel Bash Friday night to pick up Pj's mare from Susan.  We can drop it off with Susan if you aren't going to be there Friday night.

Just let me know!

Thank You

:-)  I was glad she had someone video!  I knew that the way that the mare is broke and already running that Susan would be able to put some fine tuning on her for Pj.  She is a shorty, but she's fun to watch!
