| I love the old stuff and some of the new stuff. I like some of FGL's songs but not all. Listen to the words of their song Dirt, it's a good song. However, I would always pick George Strait over these guys. |

I agree. 'Country' all sounds exactly the same these days.
Blah blah beer. Blah blah moonshine. Blah blah river. Blah blah hey girl. Blah blah big truck. Blah blah drinkin. Blah blah truck. Blah blah girl.

I can't stand them.....you should not try to rap in a country song! And the crap they sing about, "if i'm lucky I might get laid" (Radio version says paid) really? No, that is NOT country. Yuck....I saw them when I went to see Luke Bryan...they were the openers...Flat.Terrible. Sad that country music seems to now be competing with pop. What happened to the good stuff? |

Location: North Dakota | OH BLESSED BE THE HEAVENS I AM NOT ALONE!!!!!!!! I was beginning to think I was the ONLY PERSON ALIVE who passionately HATES their music. I usually get dirty looks when I say that. Not only do their voices sound like dying cats, but their lyrics are stupid, lame, and really not always appropriate. One of their newest songs...somethign to do with Sunday, I don't remember the name. Anyway, the non-radio edit version talks about getting high and getting laid. EXCUSE ME. I expect that kind of trash from pop or hip-hop but not from country music. First of all that's NOT what Sundays are for, second of all, lots of young impressionable teens listen to their music. They don't need to hear that. Shame on FGL. |

Location: N Texas | I do like a couple of their songs, and I don't HATE them, but they're definitely not my favorite. What bugs me is that even though Taylor Swift switched to pop, the country stations still play her new music. She may have started out country, but her current stuff is not country AT ALL. I heard her new song "Style" on a country station this morning, and even though I like the song, I really think it has no place in country music. Maybe I'm just a fuddy duddy |

T swift isn't country at all anymore. I'm surprised they play her songs on the country music stations. I have her 1989 album and I LOVE IT. Didn't like her as country... go figure. |

She'll probably win another country music award too. I like Taylor and her music but I agree, there's nothing country about her. |

| What bugs me is how the constanly make sexual and alcoholic references. Maybe it's just me, but the older songs either completely lacked those references, or they weren't so blatant. They make it seem ' cool ' ... another peeve... is the constant disrespectful ( IMO ) references to woman.. a good country man respects women. And guess what... all the 'country boys' in my brothers generation are growing up acting out these country songs... it's no wander STDs, childhood pregnancies, DUIs and DUI related accidents are through the roof in our country. /sigh
That song ' Girl In A Country Song' by maddie & Tae. That one I like. =P but then, it's pretty much a modern country song what for to how the men in the industry address the women now. |
