| I've been shopping for a horse trailer for the past few weeks. My favorite so far has been a Cimarron. What are your thoughts on this brand? Just making sure I know what I am getting into before making a purchase. Thanks!!

| Are they the same as CM? I can't remember. If so, I had a CM that I was VERY happy with. It was a 3-horse with about an 8' living quarters. No complaints and I had it for about 10 years. |

| LOVE mine, we have had 3. When first trailer shopping, we narrowed it down to the Cimmaron, 4 Star, or Elite. My husband felt the Cimmaron was in the same league but not quite as expensive. He liked the welds, floor construction, insulated roof, no protruding parts on stalls, etc. a solid well made trailer. My current one is 10 years old and I have had no problems, windows and doors still close with ease. |

| Thanks so much! I wanted to ask some opinions because I purchased a Kiefer Built about 6 years ago after asking opinions on it. There were a lot of people with negative thoughts and now I wish I had listened instead of falling in love with the trailer. It wasn't bad but the windows hardly ever worked properly, dividers would pop open, mangers didn't shut correctly. It was a pain! |

Location: Roping pen | I would advise to stay away from any Cimarron LQs built from 8-08 to 6-09. Ours was built in 10-08 (called an '09 model) and we had issues.
According to the factory manager, they had a new engineer during that time and he took a lot of bracing out of the nose/drop wall joints. That is where ours failed. Engineer was let go 6-09 and they went back to the original design.
Cimarron was good (not great) to work with getting it fixed. They removed the LQ wall coverings, the outside skin on the nose and the front of the box. Re-enforced it all and put it back together. Could not tell that they were even in there. They did forget to weld a joint on the trim piece.
My only issue is that we had to take it back to the factory, spend 3 days there, all on our dime. It was a 1500 mile trip. Flat told me that the warranty doesn't cover travel costs to get trailer back to dealer.
Arena Trailer Sales in Minn. was the dealer. They pretty much said good luck....Not going back there.
A few months later, the trailer popped another skin seem....so we fixed that and traded it. Did disclose all the issues to the dealer and they stepped up and made us a good deal on a new Hart. Thank you Central States Trailer Sales.
Was a great trailer other than that. |

| We bought a 2001 CM last fall - It looks more like a 07-08! So far I love it. The structure and quality appears outstanding.

| It is a common misconception that CM and Cimarron are the same - please read this thread on the topic. http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/forum/printer-friendly.asp?threadid=18067

| I have a 2012 Cimarron and love it. It pulls great and is much quieter going down the road than my other trailer was. It is a solid made trailer. |

Location: N. Texas | I have a two month old Platinum trailer that I love. Hubby got a new 6 horse Cimmarron last week. The Cimmarron has exceeded either of our expectations. The windows are bigger, welds and structure is better, even the dividers are longer. It is just sturdier. I have had several 4-Stars, Elites and Platinums. None of them compare to this new Cimmarron. |

Yep, the Cimmarrons seem to get over looked, they are a great trailer. I sold my 6 horse to an ex 4Star dealer for his son to use. I also love the one handed spring latches in the stalls, smooth with no protruding parts. |
