So, Charlie trained my two year old, and I've gotten to know him personally. He's very prideful, and I'm not sure how much help he'll except. But he's gonna need some.
I'm helping by mucking his stalls, riding his trained horses and feeding/watering for him. But he has no income right now. He was injured when a 2 year old, stop dropped and rolled on him in the arena. Causing a huge hematoma on his inner thigh. They're having to repeatedly lance and drain it. It's pretty awful. He's stuck in sweat pants and R&R for a while, and this is a man who religious wears chaps with his blue jeans everyday at 70+ years old.
Anywho. He has no means to support himself right now, and for reasons unbeknown to me his children are not assisting him through this nor have visited at all. So we started a gofundme page for him in hopes of assisting him through this rough patch. Anything and everything is appreciated. I can also pass along his address for anyone who wants to send cards or anything along those lines!

I know! I mean all of us at the farm are helping as much as possible. But the truck, trailer, doctor bills. All that stuff is hard for us to help with singularly. I feel like if every older person who needed help had good community, even when their family wasn't around they would be able to over come stuff like this. This has got Charlie really down. He eats, lives and breathes work and horses. Sitting on his booty feeling helpless is really getting to him. :\
