Location: mi | It's time for a new 2015 truck. I have been to the dealers and drive both and have narrowed it down to a Ford F250 diesel or a Chevy 2500 diesel. I know what I like better on each as far as comfort and looks and options. Just looking for opinions on the motor and trans now. Any info would be great. |

(@Vickie) I prefer GMC (or Chevy) over Ford. I think Ford's newest engine is a good one, but the Allison tranny in GM trucks is the best available. And Fords feel like you're driving a log wagon. The ride and steering is better in GM. |

Location: Pa | A dodge cummins will absolutely be the best choice. My fiancé has a dodge 2500 and his truck does much better in every aspect than a Ford or Chevy. Better towing, longer lasting motor by far. I guarantee if you do the research a dodge is the best choice. |

The Cummins is a great engine, but Dodge interiors suck eggs. Priorities, I guess. ;-) |

Just what I was going to say, GMC and Chevy are the same mechanically...GMC has a few comfort/interior upgrades that Chevy doesn't have.
Personally, like others have said, I would look at a new Dodge diesel as well. The Cummins is a GREAT engine, and they have some really nice rebate/cash back values right now. The interiors on Dodges do lack over all, but Dodge is still my preference over other brands. Pulling power, ability and reliability outweigh comfort for me any day.
If you are stuck between a Chevy or a Ford, I'd go with the Ford diesel. The 6.7 Powerstroke is really proving itself to be a pretty decent engine, but I have no personal experience with it, just what I've seen and heard. |

Funny you say that as I jus tent and drove them yesterday and the Ford was quieter and rode better then the Chevy. Which was not what I was expecting at all. |

| Chevy all the way. My parents just bought a 2015 Chevy and I have an 2004. I have had their truck pull my heavy trailer and it pulls like a dream. Looks great, super comfortable, and a very well made truck. The only other truck I would buy besides a Chevy would be Dodge but Chevy will always be my number 1 choice for overall mechanical, power, and durability. Good luck! |

| From someone who's owned, ford,Chevy and dodge, sold Ford. I love an f250. But mostly because they know have the snacking towing packages on top of the best truck. But then I look for longevity. My brothers dodge non stop breaks down, friends Chevy is good. But doesn't have the gadgets I like. Like the a adjustable talked breaks, that you can save to remember your trailers individually. Or the space. Holy crap a crew can is massive and makes awesome crash pads if needed |

 Can You Hear Me Now?
Location: When you hit the middle of nowhere .. Keep driving | GMC's to me drive rough, or at least the one's I've been in... I have a Dodge and it's not bad, but to me it's not my fav (and we are already having wiring problems). I wanted a Ford but since it was Hubby's he got to pick in the end ... and he bought while I was out of town. The next one will be Ford, my brothers have them and drive the sh!t out of them.

| My 2003 Dodge has 200,000 miles on it pulling a trailer all over. I would like to have a new truck, but the one I have may be better than a 2015 Ford or Chevy. So you can see I am a DODGE man.

Location: Central TX | Between a Ford and Chevy, I'd go with Chevy. But I purchased a 2014 ram2500 back In October and I just love my truck. I don't feel my 3 horse BP behind me and it pulls my 36ft travel trailer with very much ease. My husband wanted a Chevy, and we test drove some but I think Dodge is the ultimate for me. Plus my mileage is outstanding either pulling or not. I was working pipeline and needed a heavy duty, reliable truck so dodge is what I say. Good luck in your search! :) |

Location: Kansas | i have an 08 ford that is the most dependable pickup i have minus the fuel mileage 6-7 mpg avg when pulling 13 on hwy. we have a friend that owns a newer one and it gets 19-20 mpg hwy. we recently baught a chevy and i will not get another as we have owned it 3 weeks and it has been in the shop 3 times already for transmission it is not out but keeps acting up everytime we haul with it it shifts through 3rd and then it will not shift on through the rest of the gears. transfer case, and injectors have also been replaced since we baught i think we got a lemon!
i will add if you are looking at something you will be hauling a lot with and you get a ford i would go with 350 they have better suspension the 250 seems to squat too easy but they pull really good!

Any brand can have a lemon. I had a 98 Dodge I bought new that was a POS and put me on the side of the road with horses a bunch of times before I got rid of it. Alternator, power steering pump, transmission oil line, brakes...you name it, it tore up in the first 30,000 miles. |

Location: Kansas | i am sure there are my old ford work pickup was kinda a lemon but it also had a hard life. we used it to check cattle out on grass and stalks so it got a lot of wear and tear which could be the deal with the chevy we now own. we baught it for the bale bed on the back. i think it has been used pretty hard. |

The newest generation Fords have a limp mode to get you out of traffic. There for a few years, including the first generation of 2015s, it would just shut down with no warning when an emissions sensor went out. It happened to my parents while pulling an RV right in front of the Mississippi River bridge at Helena. That could have been a cluster if they had been ON the bridge. I had to go rescue them off the side of the road with my GMC. Haha |

Location: Oklahoma | I'm married to a diesel mechanic. We had a Chevy with the allison. I absolutely loved that truck and it gave us a good 10 years. We now have a ford. I like things about both trucks. I think it really comes down to which truck has more of the comfort features you're looking for. Everything has a warranty, so regardless of what you choose, you should be covered. |

I like leather seats, a nice sound system and electric window openers.....and, I only like certain colors.....like white, hunter green, silver....I could possibly take a maroon one. Oh, and tires, I love big tires.....can I add 4-wheel drive too? I love to mud ride. |
