Anyone have any experience with a bone cyst, particularly in the P3? Vet says probably next to impossible to get to it surgically or to inject. Considering regional limb profusion with Tildren. Not sure how long it has been there though. Any feedback?

How old?
My 3 yr old colt ended up with a pretty good sized bone cyst in his stifle.
My vet suggested that we put him on a 6 week or more series of shots of Dex. Said he had his own race colts get better with this.
After the series of shots I took him to another vet for digital xrays. HE said that there was no way the Dex would help, but his digital xrays showed NO sign of the cyst. Since the colt was still lame even with blocking he suggested either exploratory surgery OR a body scan. Both expensive and both with about a 50% chance of giving me an answer.
So I went back to my original, older, more experienced vet and he said that he would inject the stifle with acid.....and the colt hasn't taken a lame step since.
Not sure if this process would work in the foot, but it might be worth a try IF it is a young horse. Bone cysts in older horses are a whole different matter.
