My horse knows she can do this. I have her at friends house who is gonna run her this year and I am just keeping her legged up. She wants u to stay out of her mouth, ok I can do that. She tries to bluff me and shakes her head and speeds up, even crow hopped or something with me yesterday. She acts worse when she thinks she should be done working. I continued to ride but made me nervous because I'm still cautious after being thrown before. He tells me to keep her movin and make her work when she does that. I knew that much lol. Tips on helping myself?

I have been looking at helmets and I did work her in the round pen a little before. maybe I should have done more. She is sweet and does everything right in there. Lol I have not bought a helmet yet and I think that's a part of my timidness. I hit my head pretty good last time. Thank You

A helmet will help you feel more comfortable. I can relate to this since I'm working with my first young horse, and first quarter. work with a steady eddie to build your confidence.
Also, sounds like a respect issue. Do lots of ground respect work before riding. Make sure she woahs when you ask, stands still until you ask her to move, if she refuses to stand move those feet, then transfer that to the saddle once you've nailed it on the ground. It worked wonders with my boy. My bug ( hence the name ) is a spookish horse, I've learned what hit his buttons ( sounds he cant see) So I'm always aware what is around me. The trick is, to not let them work you up. THINK JELLO. I usually do lots of serpentine trotting when my boy is worked up. He'll start off slow but I can always feel when he settles.
