When we camping out in The Black Hills, a lady feed it once a day to her horses. The horses loved it and the one horse licked the pail clean and it face testified that it loved the stuff. Horses face was littered with the stuff, but it would dry and brush off. Worked for her!

Saw it at the feed store the other day and thought WOW who could afford to feed that on a regular basis... But I could see traveling so your horse would get a consistent food to prevent colic.

I have some in the trailer that I bought on clearance at TSC. I can't imagine paying full price! It was great, though, when I had a blowout and was left in the scorching heat with a colt for three hours! I put some in the trailer with him and he lapped it up! It was nice not to worry about him not drinking.

I took some with us to World last year. Mare wasn't drinking all that great. Put some in her water and she sucked it all down. She LOVES it! So yes, it's helpful. I only use it when I think she needs to drink more at shows, etc but don't use it at home.

It's expensive but easy to use when hauling and staying at shows. My horses eat it up so it must taste pretty decent but then again they are not picky.

I use alfalfa cubes. Just soak them for a little while and make sure there is enough water to keep them sloppy. My horses live it and will eat any supplementsin it that they refuse to eat on their feed. I cut their feed in half and they are doing super.
