Ivermectrin and glycerol for ticks in your horses ears?... Ace is full of the nasty little buggars especially in his ears. I've heard of using this mix and putting in the ears.. Just wondering if any of you have used it and to what end? DID it work?
Why not give him the ivermectin orally? It will kill the ticks on him at the time as well as deworming him. I put a pyrethrin solution in the ears for ear ticks. Treat twice over about ten days.

I was kind of scared to try that on Floyd just because he's so sensitive.. AND I didn't know if dog stuff would hurt the horses as their systems are so totally different.. My vet has never recommended it too me... AND he knows I'm very frugal on the money end. SO I know he isn't telling me stuff to get another buck out of me.

If you can find some 7 dust, put it in one of the picnic plastic ketchup or mustard bottles and squirt in the ears. Works wonderfully everytime. But it has to be dust, not crystals or anything else.
