Im getting impacient i want my baby!
My other made is due in 5 days .....
Who wants to make a bet they foal the SAME DAY, I only have an open barn so the mare just gets a giant foaling stall. Thats the project today devide the barn because its so muddy here they can't foal outside. |

Location: Alberta | All our mares have been overdue too and have showen no signs of foaling before they do ( no wax, no going off feed or acting uncomfortable) Getting frustrating, nerve wracking and exhausting!
One was 8days, 19 days, 9 days and we currently are watching one that is 17days over. I don't know what the deal is this year but we finally had these mares "due" exactly when we wanted and now we are late AGAIN!! Ugh!
Thankfully the weather has been awesome this spring and everything has foaled outside and only one has needed to be stalled for a couple days cause of snow!

I have heard that a lot this year! Amd other than wax both my mares look very ready, full bags, very soft in the hip and dished in from being so soft. Long and lose you know where ;-) and they are "off" personality wise.
I am so tired and so excited and I just can't wait!! |

Ours are bagged up but have been for over a month, this group of mares always bag up a couple weeks before foaling. I just feel awful for them they are HUGE! A week or two over is ok but the mare that went 19days is pretty small framed and was obviously out of room cause it's taken that foal some time to "unfold" and he came out with a full winter coat and 4" long whiskers! Lol at least this other mare that we are still waiting on is big bodied but I'm not so sure her skin can stretch much more! Lol
Hopefully your mares foal soon, but maybe waiting for your place to dry out isn't so bad ( you need our southern AB hurricane winds we've been having the past could days!) |

It is drying but our place is where water runs through when the snow melts and it rains. We were good, but thoes last two snows not long ago really messed things up! |

| My maiden mare is bagged up and showing all the other signs, but she's 12 days past her due date now. I wish she'd hurry up, I'm sure getting tired of jumping up every morning to check her and there's nothing new. Well, at least other people's mares are taking their time too. |
