It should be interesting. He's very pretty, loved Zenyatta...is this colt a 2 year old? What kind of headsetter is that? I haven't seen anything like that before.

You beat me too it. It's better than having to tie the tongue to keep it from going over the bit.

Well dang!   He certainly didn't show his dam's CAN'T BEAT THIS attitude today!  I find it ironic: the horse that went 1st was half brother to Rachel Alexandra - Zenyatta's rival (don't think they ever did meet in a race, did they?) and the 2nd place horse was sired by the only horse that ever beat Zenyatta: Blame.

He came in last. At one point he was 11 lengths off the field. He didn't seem very interested in running. He made up some ground at the end but it definitely wasn't a huge move like Z would make. I tried going back and looking for Bernardini's first race but couldn't find it. I think he ran last his first go too. Maybe they will adjust their technique his next out it didn't look like stalking was his style. I do think he may have been bumped a little right out of the gate which probably played a big part in it as well.

I said 11 off the field I meant leader, still a decent gap. Maybe they'll let him go to the front next go.
