Please share your stories for leaving your mares at James Ranch for frozen semen and your experiences. Fees and prices would be appreciated....pm if you'd like. I will be calling on my lunch but thought it'd get some input here. Thanks!

I bred a Jet of Honor Mare to a Streak of Fling a couple of years ago. They took great care of her. It was a little pricey but I kind of expected it. I believe it's $40/day for Mare care as opposed to $20/day at my vet.

Vet fees for frozen semen are a lot more than using CS .. and you are dealing with a very small amount of semen ...
I bred two mares there last year to A DASH OF STREAK the Fulton's Junior sire. His dam is a daughter of DTF that has earned $53k in barrel earnings. This adds the genes of two current dynamic sires into my foals. ASOF and DTF ... Both mares were in great shape and starting their heat cycle when they arrived at James Ranch. They were well taken care of and were in great shape when I picked them up.
James Ranch bills you for mare care and stud fees and you get a separate bill from the vet charges. Vet starts off with $195 mare management fee and then charges for scoping, drugs and barn calls. When said and done .. fees were comparable and competitive to other big stud farms.
When dealing with these high powered rich stud farms you are not supposed to be concerned about cost ... lol
Everyone was very professional, friendly and both of my mares got in foal the same week and checked in foal 14 days afterwards. My mares are bigger than hippos and should foal out within the next 10 days ...
This one will be line bred Dash Ta Fame with all the great attributes of the magic cross of Streakin Six ... and the mare power of Trippy Dip TB ... http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/stylus+ta+streak
It's gonna be a long 10 day wait leaning on this gate watching every move these mares make ... lol
The only way you can tell sire and son apart when looking at them is ... ASOF has no white markings and A DASH TA STREAK has two white rear ankles ..
