Wondering if any of you have attended a Clinton Anderson Clinic/Tour - not at his ranch but in a public facility?  Your overall opinion of the presentation please?  Thanks for opinions/comments!

I've heard nothing but good things about his clinics. I think he's a horse man's horseman.

Agreed - maneuvers put into easy to understand terms.   Don't look to be coddled or sympathized but he is positive and upbeat.

I've been to two different level clinics with two different horses.  Loved them both!!  His method is black and white and so is his personality.  He doesn't sugar coat anything, but he is very encouraging and recognizes effort and try!  Well worth the money I spent to go!!

Hmmm...not questioning his talent as an instructor and his Method...but wasn't anyone else offended by his perpetual swearing and inappropriate statements regarding drinking and sexual situations and innuendos?   And his constant disparaging of other breeds of horses and  horse handlers?  Or maybe he was only that way at the recent clinic I attended?     I'm by no means a priss, but I sure was surprised at his crudeness and expected more sophisticated and professional behavior.

I am not defending his choice of swear words.

However, I believe sarcasm is an essential part of Clinton's dry sense of humor.  He is not for everyone.  Just like many other trainers are not for everyone either.

There's one in my area and I wish I could afford to go!  But just to spectate is $150.  Short notice didn't allow me to budget for that.  Super bummed.

I like a person who is not afraid to express his personality and sarcastic sense of humor. I find him personable and relatable and down-to-earth, while not being preachy. I have been to one of his clinics, years ago, and thought it was a great experience.

My horse was a demo horse for the trailer loading demonstration like 5 years ago.  My horse is an a** and pulled me off my feet.  Clinton brushed off my butt.   Be jealous

I love Clinton Anderson! I wish I had the money to pay him to over see the training on our ranch. I honestly wouldn't care if he was cussing like a sailor or reading Bible verses. He is very talented, has a dry sense of humor but what you see is what you get. To me, him being real and not putting on an act as his clinic speaks volumes.

I have attended four. I learned something every time. I would attend 4 dozen more... and I have owned / ridden horses just about all my life (since age 5) and I'm 59 now....and attended school via a rodeo scholarship and have won state, regional, national titles prior to discovering Clinton....but learn something every time.... He is real.

I'm going to be the odd man out here and say that I was not a fan of the clinic I went to, a lot of his actions contradicted his words and some of his methods were a little interesting. I'm not generally a fan of the "boxed trainers" anyway so I'm probably a bad one to ask.

I saw him in Ohio in 2007, I wouldn't spend the money to go back again but being that that was 8 years ago things may have changed.

That one had me rolling laughing!

I've never been to a clinic, but would like to. I have it almost as good, as one of my best friends apprenticed with him for a while. She's amazing! But, I will admit, the "method" makes me feel completely stupid. When she tries to teach me knew things, I fumble around trying to remember the steps... but, it's that way learning anything new, I suppose.

I had a close friend at the time go to one and she said he cursed like crazy, used racial slurs and smelled of alcohol (was totally buzzed or drunk), however she is still crazy for him and wants to go to his school so it couldn't have been that bad.

I know a few people that have been and they all seemed to enjoy it.

I like CA, because I think his way of explaining things is very easy to understand. Most of the clinicians have similar methods but I think being able to market it to the public in a way that makes them think "hey I could do this" is what makes a difference. And CA is always pretty straightforward about how things aren't going to be easy with some horses and to not expect a miracle overnight.

The Chris Cagel episodes where they had to get a bucket for Chris makes me giggel EVERY time!! Seriously funny and informative for those of us with shorter legs!
