I think I have decided to change my gelding's registered name. I just started entering him in barrel races and I just CRINGE when I hear his registered name over the loudspeaker! His current registered name: CK Grey Meatball
He's not a meatball!!
He will be 4 years old this year. He's such a sweetheart and so pleasant to be around. Super quiet too. I just love him. I bought him when he was 6 months ago.
I kinda gave him the barn name of Shotgun but when I am talking to him myself, I call him Baby. I kinda started calling him that when he was a "baby" when I bought him and it just kinda stuck. But when I'm talking to other people about him, I call him Shotgun.
I just found out what the fees are from AQHA to change his name and they are much more reasonable than I thought.
I haven't thought about it really hard yet so the only name I've come up with so far is:
Baby's Got A Shotgun
I also thought of:
Riding Shotgun
(as if you called dibs to ride shotgun in a vehicle)
But that one might be a tongue twister for an announcer saying "And here comes Brittany riding Riding Shotgun." 
It doesn't have to have Baby or Shotgun in the registered name, but they can be played with too!
Here are pictures of my cutie. My primary sport I do is barrel racing, but I am also training him for Hunter/Jumper and I will do reining and other Western events with him as well. He currently at least 15.2 hands, big boned, and he is going to fill out into a very large guy .... making "Baby" kind of a backwards nickname for him!
Ideas?

Location: LuluLand~along I64 Indiana | as an announcer for barrel races i wouldnt have a problem with riding shotgun.... i would have a blast with it actually but not every announcer is smoth tounged... lol
