i sent a green broke horse to be ridden it was 90 days picked her in mid november let her sit intel a month ago. She was very pushy in the bridle and she could not lope a circle to right with swaping leads in back, i have put 3 weeks on her and she is smart. She is just starting to be able to lope a circle to right without swaping leads in back and and trying to jump thru the bridle and nose down. She reminds me a a colt with45 days. And in three weeks she moves off my leg both ways, she spins correctly and move her hips off my leg both ways. And she is starting to lope correctly. What i want to know i know should she have been further. I have not even tried barrels because i know until i get basics i cant go further. This is a very smart and trying mare. I could take a week and make this mare spin like a reiner. Has a lot of try. She needs her teeth done. This ole gal is some kinda quiet after 4 months i saddled her and lunged her she looked at me to say just get on me and she is themquietest thing i rode in years. She is out of little corona out of a doc bar/blondees dude mare, 15.1 1/2 big bodied. Iknow she can run wants to be quiet. She just wants to be good. Once i get her broke and to stop pushing on the bit she will come along fast. She acts like she is 20 years old, only thing wrong she was a little headshy, i think someone hit her in the face one i got her to move ofd the rear ant turn all i did is pick up tye end of reins and hit shoulder or where my leg went she was great.

I had a filly broke last April-- 30 days. She has not been ridden since. I took her to my barrel trainer Jan 17. I think she actually got to ride her about 8 times before it started raining everyday for 5 weeks. When it finally quit raining she had her slow loping the barrels after 6 days. That was about the first of April. She had her in the covered arena at Joseys yesterday running the pattern. This was the first time she has ever been hauled anywhere other than to the vet. She has her working beautifully. The filly is a three year old.

I would expect way more than loping circles after 90 days.

How old is the horse?  Was it broke prior to going to the trainer?  Maybe she just needed a refresher since she was off around 90 days after the initial 90 days?
