Location: North Dakota | I was pleasantly surprised. Usually not a big chick flick person but the story line was good, it didn't make the rodeo stuff too cheesy and Scott Eastwood is very pretty. I also heard more sobbing in that theater than in any other movie I've ever been to, which was kinda funny.

Location: In the Hills of Texas | First movie I went to in over 30 some years. I thought we were going to see a movie about a PBR bullrider. It has 2 story lines and was too hokey for me but I'm also not into love stories. My first big turn off was when they had Eastwood wearing flood pants. With Ariat being plastered all over the movie, why couldn't they put him in decent jeans that were stacked? The best thing about the movie was there were only about a total of maybe 10 people in the whole theatre and the next best thing was Eastwood. |

| I have seen it, and echo the above on how umm, sexy Scott Eastwood is and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the movie actually was. I read the book first and was expecting to be disappointed, but not a bit! While there is some added parts in the movie and a bit of a different 'twist' to things, it was overall a VERY good movie. Scott did a good job playing the role of Luke, and whoever they used for Sophia was exactly how I had pictured her in the book. Well worth seeing, but bring a tissue. Tear jerker for sure! As for the high water pants.......umm as a fellow rider those pants may look okay walking around town in, but they do NOT work for riding....much too short and you could see when he rode (rather awkwardly I may add). Died laughing when he went to slap Sophia's horse and looked to about fall off....the camera angle changed right after that, so he very well may have! lol |

After the Notebook...I haven't watched another of his movies. I hate sad endings!! Sounds like this one has a sad ending too? Ugh
I watch movies to be entertained. That means no horror movies and no sad endings.
City of angels was a great movie up to a point... I just can't enjoy being brought to tears..No FUN.
I still havent unwrapped the copy of "My Dog Skip" a well meaning relative bought me years ago. I know it has a sad ending...so I won't watch it!
Give me a happy movie!

| John Wayne made a few movies where he was wearing high water waders and they were rolled up! At the time it wasn't odd to see cowboys wearing jeans that were short. I always feel like a dude when my jeans aren't barely above/or in the dirt. |

JMO I agree, I think the last of the better westerns was Young Guns, Lonesome Dove. The newer ones just dont have that punch to them. Tom Selleck made some really good ones tho. Like Quigley Down Under, now these were made years ago

I think they are in two different categories of handsome or good looking. Clint being in the more "rugged" category and Scott being in the more "pretty" category. IF those are even categories. LOL |

Usually not a big chick flick person but the story line was good, it didn't make the rodeo stuff too cheesy and Scott Eastwood is very pretty. I also heard more diving in that theater than in any other movie I've ever been to, which was kinda funny. OK now whats diving mean? Oh for corn's sake. My phone is out to get me today. I was trying to say sobbing. LOL,, I thought maybe diving was some new slang word with all the young people and I wanted to know what it meant . So its sobbing not diving
Oh that man is gorgeous!!! I'm with Southtxponygirl. Thought I was missing out on some new slang. |

And both are very good looking men. no... you have to pick ONE I think they are in two different categories of handsome or good looking. Clint being in the more "rugged" category and Scott being in the more "pretty" category. IF those are even categories. LOL Thats the word I was looking for rugged I love the rugged good looks in a man. Thank you Sodapop
They are both gorgeous, but I love that crooked little smile of Clint..... gives him a naughty look.... |

yep but dad was better looking Ooohhh, I don't think so. I think it was a good nick and the offspring is just a little better than the sire. ; )
No way! that grin of Clint just melts me
If you look at the side by side pics again I think Scott has the crooked grin too----it just is to the other side! Both good-looking men. Was flipping thru channels today and High Plains Drifter was coming on; I smiled thinking about this thread and started watching. (Had to check out the length of his pants right off the bat too!) |

Location: NM...the Land of Manana | I Have loved Clint with a burning passion my whole life, lol, sorry hubby! When I was a little girl I used to get up early every weekend to watch re-runs of Rawhide and was obsessed with his spaghetti westerns. Scott is a chip off the old block, but Clint still has my heart! |

Location: SE KS | WHen I was little (jr high age) my parents bought some land in AZ - the realtor took us to where he was filming. Don't remember the movie - my mother was in love with him. Anyway we met him and his leading lady (dark complexion) (not the blonde girl, don't remember her name right now) at the time and had our pictures taken with Clint. anyway he was very nice to us kids.... I have never forgot that. Have always like Clint.
They are both handsome men.
it was not Sondra Locke.
