| A young vet in our area posted a picture of her holding a cat by the arrow she had shot thorugh it's head with the caption "First bow kill, only good feral cat is a dead one.... glady accepting awards for best vet of the year". She deleted the picture and had to deactivate her account once the backlash started. Of course someone took a screen shot before she deleted the pic and now news organizations have ran with the story. Turns out the cat most likely was not feral (you would have be one heck of a shot to get close enough to a true feral cat to get a clean shot) but a missing pet that the owners had been looking for and posting flyers on social media- has the same identical unique markings. I don't know why people don't think before posting. She caused her clinic untolds about of grief over this and she lost her job. |

It's not just about the cat when it's someone's pet. It's about the people that are effected by this. |

| I find it crazy that it happened here in my area of Texas and those of you posting are from all over the country- the power of social media. It blows my mind that she posted that picture, stupid and immature, no telling how long this will follow her and what her job prospects are now. I bet any clinic who hires her will be bombarded with calls and messages. |

Whether or not it was a POS cat is beside the point. I think you missed the point of the thread. It was to prove how stupid some people can be with their posting on FB. This person (having graduated from vet school) is by no means a "youngster" and show know better. Additionally, in HER profession, she must have missed the classes about animal well being and professionalism. |

| Well at least she didn't lay down beside of it and take pictures, then claim she killed it for the food it would give the local people. I'm sorry I could not resist LOL
We won't ever know the real story behind the giraffe story but its creepy to me she wanted to lay down beside of it and take selfies lol
I'm not against hunting, my whole family hunts and I like deer meat. In college I was a work study in the biology department and I had to help with local deer management. Hunters serve a purpose keeping the deer population in check. Pretty sure thats not true with giraffes at the moment in Africa as they aren't on the endangered list but near it. Yes, I've read all the bull about her humanely putting it down and blah blah blah. |

You missed the whole point - it isn't what she did or whether I like cats or not - it is that she was so stupid (as a vet/professional) that she put it on FB. |

I have several barn cats and did not want to chance them getting sick too. I don't believe every cat needs to be saved- the world has plenty of them. Hunting a domisticated animal for sport is pretty disgusting.

100% agree
If she was joe blow down the street it would not matter but she is a vet providing a service to people to CARE for animals. If she'd shoot a feral cat with an arrow I would definitely question her "back of the office care" of my kitty. No way in Hell i'd leave my dog at her office either. |

There is a vet here that I won't use. My grandmother used her and I went by the office one day to pick something up for her. The vet was standing behind the counter smoking a cigarette with her baby on her hip. No, just no. That's disgusting. If you have so little regard for your child, no way are you going to care for my animals. I heard through the grapevine since then that she sucks as a vet, but I don't intend to find out for myself. |

The owners did not let their cat run wild, they had been looking and making posts to social media for 2 days trying to find him. Pets wander and get lost, it happens, does not mean the owners were letting him "run wild". Yes, an animal leaving your property is put at risk but that does not mean they are fair game. Hope you never have a lost pet that gets shot.

Totally off topic but giraffes have to be managed just as any other wildlife species. The meat does go to feed the tribes in the area. The government pays wildlife biologists just like the US government does to do studies on how many of the animals can be harvested. Those animals that are harvested are usually older animals that have no value to the herd other than eating the feed a young viable and producing animal could eat. The tribesman and professional hunter have those animals selected before the paid hunter even shows up.
I haven't seen the picture so I don't know how distasteful it was however, I think before people go out and say how wrong the harvesting of exotic animals is, they need to educate them selves on it first. |

The giraffe pic I saw looked tastefully done. The hunter was smiling and people seemed to have a problem with that. Making death threats and such. |

You clearly missed the part we're it was a missing pet that was loved.
I understand shooting a legit feral cat. Especially if it was after livestock (chickens), attacking other pets, or posed a disease threat. The flawed logic here is that you think it's okay to shoot someones cat, dub it feral because it's in your yard, then post it all over FB. It's even worse because she's in a profession in a field working with animals.
Regardless. I feel shooting a animal that isn't for game(food) purposes with a bow is alittle personal... it's not a far step off to stab or beat one to death. Which.. is the first sign of a serial killer.
Animals that are on your property, you have the right to kill them. Posting it all over facebook after you killed someones pet is bad form... |

Just a dumb move from start to finish. If she did pay attention in Vet school she should know that as a veterinarian the AVMA has guidelines for approved methods of euthanasia. Bow and arrow isn't on that list. If she had shot the cat with a gun it would at least have met the standards for a humane euthansia. IF she in fact truly felt the animal was in need of being euthanized. And she did what was needed and moved on.
By killing it, posting pictures and bragging about her "first Bow Kill"...she clearly did it for sport. She should have been smart enough to realize that a vet bragging about killing a cat for sport is gonna upset a lot of folks. She deserves to be fired for bad judgement alone.
Now I'm not suggesting bowhunting isn't a viable means for taking game animals...I'm just saying there is yet another level to her apparent stupidity. |

I've actually been on animal preservations and did an externahip in Belize with exotic animals. Post was really just poking fun at how stupid it was to pose laying down smiling like a beauty next to it. I mean she was asking for attention from the backlash. Actually anyone posting their life like the ones mention on this thread are screaming for attention whether they realize it or not

| WOW is all I have to say what a STUPID unprofessional move on her part. Hope she has another career in mind or has the funds to go out on her own ( which probably won't go over well either) I worked at a vet clinic and at one time was interested in going on to vet school. Some of the people they admit have no business treating animals no "common" sense and some have never even owned a gold fish

Yes, the elderly couple definitely didn't care about their cat! It couldn't have possibly been an accident that it got out. NOPE.
It's one thing to quietly dispatch a problem animal, but this? This just isn't right.

| That is a sad, sad picture. I doubt she will work as a vet again. She won't get business from me in our area of Texas!
The guy that went on the rant at the clerk at the Chick-fil-a has never gotten gainful employment since that incident. He did get hired a 1000 miles away from where it happened and then two weeks later the company found out about it and canned him. Social media will haunt those that make stupid choices and post about it. I'm glad, too. |

It is a crime to kill a domesticated animal in Texas. If it is a felony and if convicted she will automatically lose her license. |

| Evidently, the cat wasn't ferrel. It wasn't where it belonged though. A house cat is one of the most intrusive species when they are loose in an ecosystem. Probably shouldn't have taken a selfie with it though. Would the story be different if it were a hog, and turned out to be somebodies pot bellie pig? |

I find it crazy that it happened here in my area of Texas and those of you posting are from all over the country- the power of social media. It blows my mind that she posted that picture, stupid and immature, no telling how long this will follow her and what her job prospects are now. I bet any clinic who hires her will be bombarded with calls and messages.
Hopefully it follows her forever and causes her untold grief in her job pursuits. One thread above this is the unbelievable love that a group of folks have for a BHW regular and her desire to get one little pup to her house for his forever home. . . . And then you have "someone"-----I have a hard time calling them human---that would do this to a helpless cat. What a world we live in. |

lol My thoughts exactly... hope that person doesn't own horses. Anyone that views animals like that shouldnt own them. This is just like that ESPN lady who insulted that women horribly because SHE was the idiot that got her own vehicle towed... wtheck is wrong with ppl these days. FLAWED logic, people letting domesticated animals run wild are like the lady parking in front of the sign then blaming others for the repercussions.
Itsme -- I'll remember this logic at my next show and the loose dogs start their roaming . . . I wonder how long it will take for me to get run out of barrel racing in Virginia with such an attitude? Or anywhere?? |

Seems that CSU has already been notified. Doubt the department heads there are impressed. So much for getting a good ref. for future employment. The TX Vet board will more than likely wait until charges are filed. Then they will pull her privleges.
As to the board member who seems to think this chick was right.... well just keep in mind "Do unto others". Sure as heck would not want to be her neighbor.

Yes, I find it ironic that she has chosen a profession to care for animals but when target practicing and a domesticated cat shows up her thought is " I am going to take a shot" as opposed to I don't want to kill that cat, it might be somebody's pet or I take no pleasure in killing a friendly cat. And as to the others who posted "I saw it all go down" and were excited about the "kill", I guess they were all brought up the same way, no compassion either. Confliciting reports that is was either her mother or sister who took the picture. |

There are so many stories going around it's impossible to keep up. What I do know is that it was not a feral cat, but the elderly couple's cat that lived down the road. They were out of town and the pet sitter had posted on several fb pages looking for him. She had not seen him in two days. I understand feral cats are a problem, and people do shoot them. Especially if they are causing problems. This one was not. This sick person was boasting about killing. She is proud of it. What kind of person is proud to be killing just to kill? If she is prosecuted, I work 50 feet from the court house where it will be. There is a lot of pressure on the DA to press charges, and I think he will. It will be a 3 ringed circus for sure.

Well if she can do this to someones pet and be very proud of herself and takes pictures of herself with her kill and place it on FB I'm betting this is not the first time shes does something like this, so I call it torture to pets that have been shot in the head with a arrow. May not be torture to some but to me yes... |

Not related. I don't know where people are getting that. Ps. I am not in any way defending her. I just don't think the clinic should be punished because she is an idiot troll. |

Your right , it just makes me sick to think that a Vet could do something like this, shes suppose to help these pets not kill them |

It blows my mind that she posted that picture, stupid and immature, no telling how long this will follow her and what her job prospects are now. I bet any clinic who hires her will be bombarded with calls and messages.
^^THIS!! Where the stupidity lies is how she didn't think that her actions could be seen as a fowl representation of her profession and the place that she works. I have not seen the picture, but it's becoming a less common known fact that if you are a professional and regardless if you are clocked in on the job or not, you are still representing and endorsing the reputation that company wants to uphold. That's why businesses have policies that support corrective actions against this, bad mouthing the company or even acting innappropriately in public. When there are usually at least 5 able bodied people willing to do your job, grow up and always act like a professional on or off the job because you never know when it will get back to your emloyer. I am truly sorry for the cat and the owners. |

Are you for real? Are you so insensitive as to not see the wrong in what was done here? Attitides like yours is what makes the world we live in a sometimes ugly place. If you cannot have compassion for an animal, you won't have compassion for humans either. This vet went to school to work with animals, presumeably because she has a love for them. She is entrusted with people's animals, most of whom regard them as family members, every day. Yet, she is proud of the fact that she shot a defenseless cat? She said it was ferrel, but video proved otherwise. I am outraged by her behavior, and I will not get over it. The fact that you are so unfeeling about such an act tells me all I need to know about you. |

I believe you are giving Itsme too much credit...
For once I'm thankful for social media. I have absolutely no problem with hunting, although I will never understand those that hunt purely for sport. This was not hunting...this was cold-blooded murder, and if she truly believed that to be a feral cat then she obviously hasn't ever seen any feral cats. |

Owner of a ratting catting machine

| I think what upsets me about this picture isn't exactly that the cat died. Thousands of cats die everyday, and to all appearances, this pretty orange cat probably didn't even know what happened. He died cleanly and quickly, which I know many hundreds do not. I've seen cats die, with just a leg or pelvis crushed on the highway, getting hit by a belt under a car hood, it's horrible. This cat didn't go out that way, and his owners are hopefully relieved that if he did have to go out that day, at least he did so quickly.
What does upset me, is that this girl was treating first his life and then his body so disrespectfully. She is a veterinarian, with supposed compassion for animals, and empathy for their state. Her mindset and methods of doing wild cats in, making them a "kill" for the day, really sucks. A friend of mine, who is also a vet in the same age bracket, also from Wyoming, has been running campaigns for months at home about sterilizing wild cats and returning them back to their habitat with an ear notched as an indicator. If someone really is needing to do a stray/feral cat in, I hope they would at least have the decency to recognize it for the chore that it is, something necessary by situation, and not something to find humor in. All creatures in this world deserve to be treated with respect.
I'm also empathetic to the poor owners of the cat. I'm betting they're really missing their friend. How very awful for them, they must be blaming themselves so much!
I was friends with Kristin on Facebook for a while a few years ago. I've never met her personally, but all her pictures indicated that she was really outdoorsey and full of life. I don't think she's the demon that everyone is thinking she is, but rather someone that does love to kill animals that she perceives as pests. Having shot my fair share of prairie dogs, skunks, raccoons, rabbits, badgers, gophers, voles, and yes, even the occasional starving and disease ridden stray cat, I can't judge her for killing a stray cat. HOWEVER, I do feel very upset at her evident lack of respect for him (my Dad would have given me a real ass whipping, and that's if my PaPa hadn't found me first, for dangling God's creature in the air like that), and I absolutely condemn her judgment in killing a healthy, fat, shiny, and probably friendly housecat in a neighborhood where it must have been obvious that he was somebody's pet. Omg how STUPID!! I'm glad she got reported, because she was just plain ignorant.
As for Itsme, well, you know how that goes. Typical behavior, and you notice he's not been asking for any help from the board with his daughter's horses here lately? He's really sweet when he wants something. He knows what he's doing. He just likes to put people's panties in a twist, nevermind him, he just likes to say stupid crap that goes against the grain so he can tag himself as a 'noncomformist'. Blah, blah, blah. |

I agree. I honestly don't think the clinic has a choice but to fire her - their personal feelings and opinions aside. I think people would fear she may help another vet and/or be in contact with their animal. Which would obviously cause a huge loss of business. If she will do this to a cat, what would she do to a dog. OR even a horse and cow - with a greater monetary value.
ETA: I believe she would be fired completely, whether she ends up losing her license or not.

As for the cat, I couldnt careless and certainly dont want someones career ruined over it. Just remember if you have an outside predatory animal and it leaves your property it could end up dead.

Say's the person stalking this thread to stir the pot. LOL you just can't help yourself can you? It's so hard for you to admit that killing an animal clearly a house pet, with a weapon desgined for hunting wild game ( not disposing of "feral cats" as the idiot who did this claimed...) is actually MORALLY wrong, points to her being a completely incompetent VET incapeable of the values needed to do her job. THEREFORE, we the people vote her off the vet island and are correct in doing so because we DO care... |

Clearly does not apply to a cat that had a HOUSE SITTER who let it outside to use the restroom and it prowled. . .------ Helpful DefinitionsFor the purposes of this Web site, the term "free-ranging cats" applies to owned cats that spend all or a portion of their time outdoors where they may prey on wildlife. "Feral cats" are those cats that are not owned and exist in the wild. Feral cats can be born in the wild or may have only recently entered into the wild, but we make no attempt here to distinguish between these two groups. Feral animals can exist in the wild completely unaided by humans or they may be members of so-called "cat colonies" that receive varying levels of care and food from human caretakers. |

As for the cat, I couldnt careless and certainly dont want someones career ruined over it. Just remember if you have an outside predatory animal and it leaves your property it could end up dead.
I understand to you it's just a cat BUT the issue is she's a VET! If she was hair dresser or a teacher who cares but it's her job to CARE for these animals....that's the issue. |

This so called Vet took an oath to take care of pets not enjoy killing them. You sure do have a sick way of looking at things. Like someone else said on here you sure do like to stir the pot, but when you want some help you are nice as pie. |

| I have seen so many comments about letting the "cat run wild", we live in the country, cats roam. This was a well taken care of family pet that they spent time, money and attention on. It is a sad day when we have to keep our cats under lock and key 24/7 for fear someone will use them as target practice. Yes, letting a cat out exposes them to risk and the possibilty of an accident happening. The thing is, this was not an accident, it was a deliberate and callous act. Yay, you got a kill - a tame house cat that was looking right at you when you shot in through the eyes- what a brave hunter you are. Hope the thrill of the kill was worth it. What she did was a crime in Texas- you cannot indiscriminantely kill non livestock animals who are not a threat.

Location: Texas | She is absolutely appalling. Texas A&M took a sigh of relief when we found out she was NOT a graduate of our school. And I feel for CSU because I know they would never condone this either. I feel for Washington Animal Clinic because they are a GREAT animal hospital. I feel for veterinarians everywhere who are just totally in shock that one of our own would do something like this. We are a huge family and come to the support of one another but not in something like this.. this goes against everything we go to school for.
At Texas A&M We had twice a year ethics dinners our first year of vet school discussing how to handle certain situations and how we should behave and act. Veterinarians from all over TX volunteer their time to share their experiences and talk to us. Our interviews to get accepted into vet school are an intense selection process testing our morals and ethics to see if we have the character that fits being a veterinarian. We have such a strict honor code at school we sign an honor statement before every test because we'll get kicked out for cheating.
I mean we've even been specifically warned on what we should and shouldn't have on our facebooks!! I just don't understand what the heck she was thinking.

| A thug who shook a baby girl so violently she was left permanently disabled and died more than a decade later was today jailed for three years for manslaughter.
Kealeigh-Anne Woolley was just seven months old when she was left blind, unable to talk and severely brain damaged after being shaken by Colin Heath in January 2000.
She spent most of her life in a wheelchair and could only eat through a tube until her death in 2011.

I would like to see a link to that quote......this was the news just today and the Sheriff's comments......... Brandes said he could not arrest and Lindsey unless an investigation determines the picture of the dead cat is genuine. Story Updates: Sunday (April 19) 10:01 a.m. The Austin County Sheriff’s Office says it has a number of deputies assigned solely to this case. Once their investigation is complete, the Sheriff’s Office will turn the case over to the District Attorney's Office who “will most likely present it to the next session of the Grand Jury.” “We realize that a fervor exists in this case, however we will do our part in the proper, legal, and ethical manner in order to provide the court system with all information and evidence it needs.” |

Whether she gets charged or not, she has ruined her career. This is going to follow her for a long time, it has garnered world wide attention and any clinic that would hire her would get bombared with harrassing phone calls. What is so disturbing to me is this was a friendly and healthy cat, she shot him between the eyes most probably while he walking towards her and looking at her. How does that not bother someone?? He was not a nuisance, he was not a stray. No way could she get that shot on a feral cat running from her plus I thought bow hunters always shot through the heart for a clean kill?? |

RodeoMom, I agree with all of your comments, especially this one! Honestly, it's the most disturbing part, how a human does not have a conscience and BRAGS about this horrible act. I can't begin to wrap my mind around it. The fact she was proud of her actions, makes me wonder how many times she has done this without getting caught and how far would she have gone if said story hadn't got out.... |

On big game, most hunters would agree that a bow shot through the vitals is preferred. On varmits, it's really not as important. Many wild hog hunters prefer the ear shot. |

her career SHOULD be ruined. I would like for charges to get filed too. The entire veterinary profession has turned their back on her. I don't know what she could possibly do to salvage her career at this point. |

| I have not read this whole post because I already have my thoughts on this and dont need to read more. I understand there are times and needs to dispose of feral cats, sick, etc. but there is no such thing as a POS cat. And if as a vet, you have such a strong opinion against any animal, you should lose your license, no thoughts about it. And why were you so stupid as to go into veterinary medicine in the first place.
I also understand the original intention of this post.

Just because you can't see any problems yet with your animals or property doesn't mean they aren't a problem.
Introducing nonindigenous species can cause seen or unseen havoc on wildlife and habitat. They also are prone to disease. Feral hogs are a prime example. |

I do have a couple of tame cats and they are here at the house. Wild cats do help keep the bad snakes and mice/rat's in control so I dont mine having them around. BUT the cat that this VET enjoyed KILLING was someones PET....

Location: Heart of Texas | You guys can not imagine the comunity post on FB. (I live in the county this happened in) Every bubba jack redneck with a fb has come out to stir up drama. Posting praise for the vet, how hot she is, and claiming to be such bad _____ for all of the cats they have killed. For some reason, redneck males around here believe killing cats makes you more manly, I guess. Wow, you're really tough, you killed a cat. (Sarcasm) They have never owned a cat or even been around one. Cat hatred has been bred into them from a young age and handed down from generation to generation. I work with women that think the vet did no wrong, too. If this incident had not made world wide news, nothing would happen to the vet. Because of the media, the sheriff will have to do something. |

No ethical bow hunter would ever take that shot on any animal. EVER. There is way to much risk for error and have that animal run off with an arrow through it's head. There is nothing about her post that points to her being an ethical person. NOTHING. She has given legitimate bow hunters a bad name. I hope she is prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

(Sarcasm)
They have never owned a cat or even been around one. Cat hatred has been bred into them from a young age and handed down from generation to generation. I work with women that think the vet did no wrong, too. If this incident had not made world wide news, nothing would happen to the vet. Because of the media, the sheriff will have to do something.
Well she should be proud now she has become one of them {bubba redneck} |

| FERAL cats ARE and issue. But here's the simple way to fix it. SPAY and NEUTER.. There are a lot of programs in my area that catch feral cats like this and release them after fixing them, notching their ears. They control the rat/mouse/varmit population.
This girl ruined her life for a time. It will follow her. Regardless... karma is on a constant circle.
And yes, itsme. Tons of other bad things in our country to focus on. But letting stuff like this slip by are how serial killers slip under the radar. Starting with peoples house cats adn working your way up. |

Her supporters are few and far between though. Most are in disgust of her actions and some of the comments posted on these pages and in response to news articles are down right scary they are so vile and full of threats for her. I bet she is scared to leave her house and is already thinking about changing her name. She showed on FB who she is - the person who will use your pet as target practice if they wander on her property while mom takes a picture of it.

| Yes... it is on FB, someone took a screen shot of FB conversation about the pic when she posted it. Someone asked if it was photo shopped, she saids "no, she was practicing in the yard, we saw it all go down- I took the picture."

Location: Where I am happiest | I just saw this come across facebook from the cats page. Breaking News Update from a Loyal Supporter::: Texas State Board of medical examiners are meeting right now to discuss an emergency suspension of Kristen Lindsey license, for killing a pet cat with a bow and arrow..They are discussing suspension, revoking of her license, fines, penalties and disciplinary action. It Is likely, they will temporarily suspend her why the police finished their investigation and then make a decision based on that. if you want to sway the board towards revoking her license..please email today..Vet.board@veterinary.Texas.gov , The more people that email, the more likely they are to revoke her license, which means she will NOT be able to practice in that state..That's a state. We will keep you updated..as soon as we know...You will know also. |

You are correct, from Wyoming, vet school in Colorado (who released a letter denouncing her), moved to Texas to work. I read she was employed by the Brenham clinic for 2 years. |

I couldn't tell you her name or pick her out of a crowd right now (unless I went to the first page of this thread). I have looked at the picture countless times and even looked up her name. So this may die down eventually if people are as bad as names and faces as I am lol. |

You may not remember her, down the road, but the Vet community is NOT that big of society and too many Vets and Vet colleges have plastered the story and admonished her on their pages. I would assume that she "may" have a hard time finding another job (unless she changes her name). as a vet. |

I don't think she needs to have her career ruined over this....provided she takes certain steps.
I can see your point about getting an evaluation, but in all honesty, as a customer I wouldn't give a **** what it revealed. I would NEVER take an animal to her. If I owned a vet clinic, I would never hire her. A person who is capable of shooting a defenseless cat with an arrow (which has a good chance of wounding and not killing) and then bragging about it on FB, has serious core issues. Its a matter of the HEART. This was not some kid playing with a new toy and pointing it at an animal. This was a woman who went to school to be a vet, a person who took an oath that obviously ment nothing to her. She ruined her own career. It's called consequenses of your actions, and I hope they throw the book at her. |

There is a huge difference in someone hunting and someone toturing an animal.
I did find it kind of strange that not very much has been said about the person taking the picture...her mom. |

Her mom should be ashamed of herself too. But then I'm sure she see's no wrong in this since its her daughter, I bet she can do no wrong in her mothers eyes. |

I hope that they throw the book at her too. |

| I hope they throw the book at her. Could you imagine if she had hit the cat but not killed it and the owners found it alive and had taken it to the clinc she worked at to try and save it. It just makes me sick that the person we trust to care for our animals could very well be the one torturing them. |

Or if she missed the cat and a child had been playing in the next yard? She deserves all that is thrown at her and I hope it's a lot |

Location: Texas | I hope and pray the board does take the "appropriate action". Lord knows there will be quite the uproar if they don't.
The AMVA released a statement about the incident. It reads, in part:
“We, too, were shocked and appalled by this image when we saw it. Every veterinarian takes an oath that states in part that they will “use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare, the prevention and relief of animal suffering.”
The AVMA is committed to ensuring that every animal is treated with respect and dignity.
We are confident that the legal system and licensing board will take appropriate action, and we will continue to monitor the situation.” |

Also, if she could not tell a feral cat from a pet based on behavior... That's redic.
I think some parents fail to teach their children how to act as professionals in their adult lives. |

It won't be known for sure unless she produces the body, which I would be shocked if she did. The unique markings match exactly to the missing pet Tiger. There is a video of Tiger that his owner made of him riding on the gator, you can see he was neutered. In the video he is rubbing his head all over the steering wheel while his momma pets him- a real sweetie :(. She may refer to all male cats as Tom's IDK. |

That post about killing things or trying to makes me even more worried about her potential to harm people next. It just sent up a big red flag. If you're into hunting wouldn't you use that word instead of killing? |

True ethical hunters do not talk or behave the way this fool does. We harvest or take game animals in the most ethical/humane ways possible. We only harvest appropriate legal game animals in the proper season and in the proper allowed amounts (limits). We only take ethical shots that have a high likelihood of a clean swift end for the animal. We practice with our rifles and bows in between seasons so that we stay proficient.
I personally only take game I will be processing and eating myself. (My fiance does likewise). If we had a coyote harassing/killing animals on our place I would kill that coyote (or other harmful predator) for that reason...and I would likely tan the hide/fur so at least something could come from it. I don't "kill" for sport or entertainment as this lady clearly did. I take it seriously...and I absolutely loathe this person for making ethical hunters look bad with her actions and lack of respect for animals.

I have absolutely NO issue with ethical hunters like you or killing predators. I don't have a problem with shooting a sick feral cat.
I have a major issue with shooting someone's pet. There's no way she didn't know this cat belonged to someone. For a vet to do this..... just blows my mind. |

I was wondering the same thing. If that is real she definitely needs a full psych eval!

| So I looked it up, and yes, yes it is what she wrote if in fact it is actually her blog.
ETA: her "current interests" is listed at the bottom of her blog page.

You: "So......besides your work as an animal doctor, what else you do like to do?"
Psycho: "Oh I like long walks on the beach in the moonlight, the smell of cut alfalfa or a horse, a good steak, fishing, dancing, long wet kisses, killing things......."
I'd sh!t myself. |

Wow.... The people who have commented on her blog are NOT giving her any slack whatsoever. I don't think she should be given any slack, but I'm glad to see we aren't the only ones who feel like she should be punished to the fullest.
She obviously has some MHMR issues. Unfortunately, I'm sure this is not the first cat or domesticated animal she has killed or harmed. But for the sake of who knows how many animals and people, thankfully she was stupid enough to put this incident on social media. She hung herself.... hopefully she already picked a tree out. |

It doesn't matter where Bear is from or lives now. There is a DIFFERENCE between legally hunting wildlife and killing "things"!! Obviously domestic house cat falls into the "things" category, she took her picture with this cat for proof. |

For most country boys that would have been followed with a wedding proposal. I must have grown up with lots of psycho's. lol |

Really? A conversation about things you and your date enjoy is typically followed by a proposal where you come from? Did the kisses part make you squirm a little? Relax, it was a list of things that people typically say they enjoy....purely random....minus the killing part. Normally, where I come from, there a a few more steps between a first date with small talk, and dropping the question. |

I hate printed conversation...so much is left out. Now imagine I said that while laughing, followed with slaping your shoulder. I only meant that for most country boys to find a girl that was into the same stuff they liked, would get them pretty excited! |

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME...
I love Wyoming and the mountains....the Big Horns especially...but any will do when it really comes down to it. I love hunting, fly fishing, pack trips, the outdoors in general, horses, skiing, dancing, whiskey, my friends, my family, God, raising hell, my daddy, and sheep...ya, that's right. I love having good times with good people. I recently discovered that what's important in life is to simply live, laugh, love, & learn. And to find a way to be happy with the everyday, simple things in life. I was accepted to vet school at CSU so I'm in the middle of spending 4 years of a new life in Ft. Collins, CO so that I have something to call a career! If that doesn't pan out, I'll attempt to marry someone rich so I can spend the rest of my days at higher elevations doing what I love.
AND A FEW OF MY INTERESTS...
these little extras were stolen from my Facebook but it's a pretty good list to get you all started....
Current interests: Living my days to the fullest, finding the meaning of happiness, killing things or trying to kill things (animals, a full glass of whiskey, hangovers, etc), my friends (both near and far), spending time with my dad, the outdoors in general, fly fishing on Shell Creek until it's too dark to see, hunting with my dad and better yet...learning from my dad as we hunt, a good down-pour in the high country followed by great fishing, the smell of the mountains after a good rain and the smell of rain in general, God, ever little favor from my wonderful mother, living, laughing, my great brother, horses, seeing old friends that you never see and the feeling that you're still just as close as ever, family, the feeling of hope, a good drink, dessert, a really fun night and talking about it the next morning, equine veterinary medicine, all of my best friends who know who they are, rodeos, pack trips, a good workout, fog on the river, seeing the sun come up early in the morning, bird hunting with just my dog, .....
So the readers digest version is she loves killing things ( said multiple times) is an alcholic, loves a full glass of whiskey ( said numerous times) and loves raising hell. How peachy.
And she loves God, don't forget that little nugget. This girl is a piece of work |

I know (and am one) a lot of good ole country girls who hunt, fish, and love rowdy adventure with our country boys-----but this chick doesn't deserve to be in the same category that we're in. . . . . |

1 Aaand why the heck did you shoot it in the first place??? -
-
1 Because it's an animal and it has feelings. If your not going to eat it, and If its not harming you, then leave it alone. Humane hunting 101. 2 Idc I can kill Wat ever I want -
Its fun -
1 If some murderer came after you and said that it wouldn't be all fun and games anymore. It's the same thing. -
2 Idc I'm not scared to die -
1 That's not the point. 2 I find it fun This is a conversation I took straight off facebook by some kid who went to high school with me. The picture was a mockingbird with an arrow through its head and he said he shot it but it still didn't die. Needless to say after reading those comments he is getting kicked off my facebook page! |
