HI all - I have a friend breeding a mare to Cowboy Cartel. She's relatively close to him, and could haul the mare there, but far enough away that it would be more convenient to have the semen shipped. The mare did not settle last year when bred to him (via shipped semen). I told her I'd jump on BHW here and see if anyone knows if his semen is known to ship well or not??? TIA

Ask the vet if the semen shipped well last time.. Ex- what the sperm count was. Most of the time they keep track of that. or will have done a few of them that they would remember something like that.
I know my vet will be straight up with me and tell me if it did or did not.

I had heard he had trouble getting mares in foal. Low sperm count or something like that.... Don't hold me to that, but I remember someone telling me that
