Have used them on pretty much every horse I've run the past few years. Have seen crazy amazing changes in some, no changes in others. Depends on the horse/situation but will continue to use :) My good mare gets treated twice a year with them. She changes color every time!

What exactly is it? I had never heard about it until I saw a local person started selling them on FB.

They were marketing it to headshaking horses and on my group the girls who research everything said it was just salt.

I just finished using the patches 2.5 weeks ago on my barrel horse that I'm pretty sure is bleeding. He seems like a completely different horse! I haven't made a run on him yet but he is just so much nicer to ride now. I rode him a few weeks before the patches and he was horrible and wouldn't relax at all (been this way since I've had him). I was really frustrated and willing to try anything. He sat for the 15 days (for bleeders) and I can now trot and lope on a loose rein and I've NEVER been able to lope without him running off and pulling on me. I can head out and ride by myself and he is a perfect gentleman. I can even walk and trot the barrels on a loose rein and he will just sit in front of the pattern with his head down. I actually enjoy riding him now. First competition run is this weekend so fingers crossed but I like the results I've seen in him just as a horse.

The only thing that will help our horse with anahydrosis (non Sweater).   Works perfectly.   Nothing else has helped.

How often do you use them and what time of year is best?  How long has your horse had anhydrosis? TIA
