Argh. It was too good to be true the first time. took mares for heart beat checks yesterday.. The 20 YO JOH mare has a strong heart beat and everything looks great! Good job Flit. Georgia slipped. darn the luck. So back to the vet we go for her...

This happened to me too and it was too late to re-breed. I had my mare checked at 3 1/2 weeks post breeding. Vet said there was an embryo but it appeared to be reabsorbing. Come the next March my mare was rather big and I took her in to get palpated - the was a hoof and I got a foal so you might re-check in another couple of weeks cause you just never know! Good luck!!!

The vet that checked her was the local mixed guy down the road, she's going back to BVEH tomorrow. I am HOPING they find it and tell me he was wrong. but if not, here's to trying again. The vet said she had a 25-30 on the left and nothing on the right.
