| To the best pony I ever had the pleasure of knowing. We knew it was coming but it sure didn't make it any easier. The second hardest thing I have ever had to do is watch my baby girl say a final goodbye to her best friend. It ripped my heart out. Bill will always hold a special place in my heart. It's dumb but I have been in tears since 5pm last night.
I saved a good portion of his mane. I was wondering if anyone had any good references of somewhere to get a bracelet made?
GOD LOOKED AT THE LITTLE ANGEL
STANDING BY HIS SIDE,
AND SMILED AS HE
WHISPERED
YOU NEED A HORSE TO RIDE
SO HE LOOKED THE WHOLE WORLD OVER
FOR
ONE HE TRUSTED DEAR
BUT TO OUR UTMOST SORROW
THE ONE HE CHOSE WAS HERE
WHERE GOD TOOK THIS PRECIOUS HORSE
THERE ARE PASTURES FREE TO ROAM
AND
ON THE WINGS OF ANGELS
HE TOOK THIS GREAT HORSE HOME
NOW ON HIS BACK SITS
PROUDLY
A LITTLE ANGEL STRONG AND TRUE
AS THEY RACE THE WINDS OF HEAVEN
JUST WATCHING OVER YOU.

| And you still answered my questions about Plexus! You didn't have to do that! :) I made my own trinkets out of my horses mane and tail. Basic but it works.. |

Know that he had the best home with you, got all the love you could give and in the end he went out with you loving and caring for him. It eases my pain with Fred knowing that I loved the crap out of that little dog...told him everyday....many times....I doesn't get easier, but rest your soul knowing that he had the best years with you. |

You all have me about in tears. I am sorry for the loss of this sweet pony and the loss of Fred. Sometimes I wonder if the love and happiness brought by our animals is worth the heartache. Of course they are, but for some (like everyone on this board) the loss is so hard to take when we have to say goodbye. |

| Becky's Horse Hair Hitching, in Lander, Wyoming; she made a custom headstall for me from the mane and tail of my horse that passed away in June. She is very honest and did exactly what she said she would do. She has a Facebook page. Sorry for the loss of the sweet pony, it's a difficult thing to go through. |

| Thank you everyone! Bill was very much loved and very much a part of our everyday routine.
We bought him for my daughter 2 years ago after she ended up in ICU for a blood disease. He was as much therapy for me as he was for her. He kept my mind off all the blood draws she had to have every week. He was in his late 20's early 30's then. He came to us in a time of our lives that we really needed a pick-me-up. I found him by chance on a Google search that I had done 10 million times with no results. I think someone was looking after us!
He has been retired since December but she still got him out almost everyday and brushed him.
I think the whole circumstance around him, when he came into our lives and how much he helped our family heal is what makes it the hardest.
We had been preparing my daughter for this out come for a while. We had told her that God needed a good horse for a new little angel in heaven and that when God needs a horse he sends his angels to earth to pick the best one. (Ironically I found that poem after we had told her this). Pretty deep for an almost 4 year old but she seemed to understand. When she said goodbye yesterday, she told him that she hoped his new angel would love him as much as she did. I was pretty good up until that point. She even made her daddy cry.
His health had started to fail and knowing that he is not pain makes it better but it is still not easy. There will never EVER be another Bill but I know that some where there is a pony that will steal another piece of my heart!
And FLIT! I was happy to answer your questions this morning. It gave me something else to think about!

Can you post a picture??? I saved a huge chunk of my favorite mare's tail and want to do something with it but don't wear jewelry and don't put out things like vases, etc either. |
