I rescued a horse today who was headed to slaughter on Monday. Didn't think too far through and and forgot I need to get a Coggins done before we can haul back to NM. Any recommendations of vets In that area who do them in clinic same day?! Melanie have me a few numbers to call,one is close and i left message. Other os a little further than we want to go of we can help it. I would need Monday morning first thing.

Hummm I'm suprise that you didnt get a coggins with the horse, here befor they run threw the sale that have to have a coggins befor the sale. I thought all livestock sale barns here in Texas was mandatory for having coggins. Hope that you find a vet soon.

Even for the horses that go to the kill pen have to have one I thought. I know here befor they are even unloaded they ask for their coggins. Maybe the law has change..
