Location: East Texas | I thought I would share a story that was sad at first, but had a very HAPPY ending. On monday my mare gave birth to a beautiful FWOTR stud colt. A few hours after his birth she got really sick, we took her to the vet and worked all day to save her, but we couldn't stop the internal bleeding into her abdomen. I had a 10 hour old baby and didn't know what I was going to do. Thats when Latricia Duke messaged me and said if I could get the baby to Granada Farms, which is 3 hours from me, that she would take a mare that had lost a baby up there for me, to be his nurse mare and new momma. Things worked out great thanks to Latricia, Kristi Schiller, and Granada Farms. Baby "Duke" and his new momma Patti are doing wonderful. They want to watch them a few more days, and then I can go get them.
The first picture is me and him at the clinic while they were working on his dam, the second is that night at Granada farms when he met his new momma Patti for the first time, and the third is a picture that Granada sent me yesterday of Duke and Patti.

You need a name that has Blessed in it because he was so blessed to have found his new mommy. |

| What an amazing story in every which way and every single piece of the puzzle had to fall in place to make this miracle work. Kuddos to all involved to make it work. What a good mare. |
