Location: Buffalo, Wyoming | My SO and I are getting ready to relocated closer to his work. He can be up to 2 hours from one of their main branches. We are really wanting to stay in Wyoming so we are looking around Laramie County but are also looking around Weld or Morgan County in Colorado.
I have been scouring the internet and will be down that way next week to start looking in person but do any of our BB's know of any horse property for sale or rent in those areas? Everything we have looked at online or that the SO has looked at in person already have contracts on them, property is moving fast in those areas.
We do not mind a little bit of a fixer upper, looking to stay under $200,000. If we rent it would be short term until we found something to buy or builld. Please let me know if you know of anything in those areas.
Thanks!

Location: Texas! | I lived in Laramie 45 mins from Cheyenne and in Albany county I love that area. The wind in the winter sucks but you know if you've been living in Wyoming. Fort Collins is a great town and I would live there in a heartbeat!! Pretty central located for barrel racing's within 2 hrs of that area. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I don't know of anything personally, but I lived in Cheyenne until I got married and moved north of Lusk. I love that town. Call me crazy, I am a huge fan of WY, but my family is still in Cheyenne and I love going back. There are horse things going on and you are close enough to CO to get in on some of their added barrel races. For homes, I know I have seen some here and there for decent prices, but of course I wasn't in the market so never kept track. Good luck maybe I will get to meet you sometime. |

In that price range you will need to look at Morgan County. Property in Weld is crazy high right now and like you have noticed moves fast. You "Might" have some luck around Kersey (east of Greeley) if you are willing to do some work on the property. Best bet is find a good realtor and be ready to make a decision on sight.
Good Luck.

This is a new listing in Torrington, WY. 7 acres, barns, trailer for $135k, close to town. Torrington has a really nice indoor. Don't know if that is an area you need. Stuff sells fast there. |

Location: between here and there | I have a good friend in Cheyenne that is super to deal with. I used him a couple years ago and we're still good friends! I moved up closer to Torrington, but Bill Borkenstein is a great guy! Knows history and locations well. He's used to us "cowgirls" and our wants! lol horses first... hehe Anyway, if you want to know what is available around the area, he's one I'd sure recommend!
